The model was able to stay on the assembly line for a long time, until 2021, although its sales gradually decreased.

Modern Era

Despite the decline in demand for the Japanese pickup, Toyota continued its production. And in 2021, a new generation appeared, which was developed by engineers from the American divisions of the manufacturer. The main feature of the novelty was the cabin, which is now represented by a standard and extended double version. Thanks to this, such a car can be used not only as a "workhorse" but also as a family car. The company redesigned the frame structure, making it more rigid. This positively affected the payload capacity, increasing it to 880 kg. At the same time, the pickup can tow up to 5.4 tons. Changes also affected the suspension, especially the rear part, where instead of springs, coils appeared. Optionally, a pneumatic system that changes the ground clearance can be installed.

The engine is currently only available in one version with 3.4 liters, demonstrating 394 horsepower and 649 Nm. It works in conjunction with a 10-speed automatic transmission. In addition, a new hybrid powertrain was introduced, which produces a total power of 443 horsepower and 790 Nm. As for the drive, it can be rear or all-wheel drive with a reduction gear.
