Second Generation

In the spring of 2008, the serial production of the minivan of the second iteration began. The vehicle received an "elegant and refined" design, which showed a similarity with its predecessor. It was built on the MC platform of its own design, which had previously debuted in the more massive Previa model. Another fundamental difference from the predecessor was the presence of all-wheel drive on all modifications without exception. At the same time, the engine range was preserved and, as before, consisted of an in-line "four" with a volume of 2.4 liters and a V6, but with a volume of 3.5 liters, as well as a hybrid powerplant. The "basic" versions were equipped with a continuously variable transmission. In turn, the 3.5-liter modifications received a 6-range hydro-mechanical "automatic".

Third Generation

In the winter of 2015, the manufacturer introduced the vehicle of the third iteration. The exterior and interior design was revised again. In addition, a new 4-cylinder engine with a volume of 2.5 liters from the Camry appeared in the engine range, as well as its variant operating according to the Atkinson cycle. The 3.5-liter V6 together with the 6-speed "automatic" retained its position in the new model. In addition, the connection with the predecessor was preserved in the use of the MC platform, which was slightly modified. First of all, to make it possible to install a new rear suspension on double wishbones, which was installed instead of a beam and torsions. In addition to improving handling and increasing body rigidity, this solution led to the leveling of the floor in the area of the second row of seats, which could now be moved forward and backward by more than a meter - by 116 cm. It is worth noting the significant increase in wheelbase and width, which was also ensured by the modernization of the platform. All these tricks were due to the change in the concept of the minivan, which became positioned by the manufacturer as an alternative to representative class sedans.
