The car was equipped with an improved 3-liter engine, which was complemented by the VVT-I system. Thanks to this, its power was increased to 213 horsepower. The standard equipment includes a digital instrument panel, ABS, and front passenger airbags. This generation received advanced navigation, the control of which was implemented using a touch monitor.

In 2005, the production of a new modification with an updated exterior and an expanded list of options began. Under the hood, a 3.5-liter 2GR-FE was installed, which was complemented by the Dual VVT-I system. This allowed the engine to produce 268 horsepower at its peak. The engine was paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission. The equipment includes a dual-zone climate control, a 6-disc changer, side airbags, electric seat adjustment, and their ventilation, keyless engine start, and JBL acoustics.

G4

In 2012, a new version debuted, the basis of which, as before, was the "Camry". The engine remained the same, but the transmission was changed - a 6-speed version was installed. Along with it, a hybrid installation with a power of 200 horsepower was also offered. Its basis was a 2.5-liter "four", which was complemented by an electric motor. A distinctive feature of the car was its low fuel consumption of 6 liters per 100 kilometers.

G5

In 2018, a new "Avalon" was presented. In essence, it is the same large sedan, the basis of which is the modular GA-K platform (similar to the "Camry"). The model was able to exist on the US market until 2022, after which its production was discontinued due to low demand. But in China, on the contrary, the model was to the liking of local car enthusiasts. Its production in China was mastered in 2019, and every year, sales exceed 100,000 copies.
Under the hood, a 3.5-liter gasoline engine with 301 horsepower is installed, which works in pair with an 8-position automatic transmission. An alternative option is a hybrid system with 215 horsepower, which is complemented by a variator.
