Gislaved

Gislaved is a company that has gained significant popularity today, having successfully established itself not only in its native Sweden but also beyond its borders as a manufacturer of high-quality tires. When it comes to high-quality tires, it's worth noting that the company has a well-deserved reputation in the luxury segment of elite winter tires, which are not affordable for everyone.

Geographically, the company is located in Sweden, which speaks for itself - the process of carefully adapting tire materials to complex weather conditions has always been approached with care here. Moreover, Swedish roads allow for testing any innovation to its full potential, as the Scandinavian countries are known for their harsh, cold northern climate.

It's worth noting that the company is not only engaged in the production of winter tires for passenger cars but also creates special tires for minibuses and small-tonnage trucks. Professional drivers have repeatedly noted the reliability of these tires and praised their excellent consumer characteristics.

It's also worth mentioning that Gislaved regularly improves the quality of products manufactured at its factories, carefully controls the quality of each released tire, and regularly introduces various innovations in terms of materials and technologies. These factors have contributed to the brand's worldwide recognition, not only in Sweden but also far beyond its borders.

History

Like any self-respecting tire brand, this company was founded in the late 19th century - when cars first appeared. Specifically, the year 1893 marked the beginning of the business for the company. At that time, Carl and Wilhelm Gislaved decided to jointly establish a business in a small Swedish town.

They explored various possible niches for some time, but ultimately decided to focus on the growing automotive tire market. The first tire, named after the company, was released in 1905. It's worth noting that the brothers managed to become pioneers in their native country - no one else in Sweden was producing tires for cars at that time.

The company gradually gained momentum, constantly controlling the quality of its tires. And 22 years later, this policy justified itself - in 1927, one of the largest automotive companies, Volvo, became acquainted with the tire samples offered by the Gislaved brothers and officially announced that it would use these tires as the standard equipment on its cars.

After that, the Gislaved brand began to experience rapid growth. Engineers started expanding the range of tires offered to consumers and introducing various innovations into their production. For example, 1967 was marked by the release of radial tires with a built-in steel metal cord.

Today, the company's assortment includes not only tires for passenger, cargo, or off-road vehicles but also tires for bicycles, agricultural machinery, and industrial equipment.
