Gislaved Nord Frost VAN 2

The winter tire Gislaved Nord Frost VAN 2, like its predecessor with the same name, is designed for small-capacity commercial vehicles. It is beneficially distinguished from its predecessor by improved wear resistance, traction properties, and handling on slippery winter surfaces.

One of the significant differences of the tire is the design of the studs. The rear edge of the steel insert has been significantly extended. As a result, it is possible to accelerate and decelerate more intensively on icy roads. Here, it is worth noting the changed shape of the areas around the stud mounting points. They contribute to more intensive removal of ice crumbs.

The side edges of the blocks have special triangular protrusions. They allow the tread to better capture and retain the snow masses that are pressed into it. This improves traction properties on rolled snow. In complex weather conditions, reliability in handling is ensured by the optimized design of the drainage system. The reverse direction and inclination of the grooves allow for the most efficient removal of water and its heavy mixture with meltwater and road dirt from the contact patch.
