Tyres Cordiant

Since its inception, the Cordiant brand has belonged to SIBUR, which in turn was established in 1995 in Nizhnevartovsk, Tyumen Oblast. In 1997, the enterprise signed its first contract, which provided for the supply of tire products to the assembly lines of AvtoVAZ. Cooperation with the largest domestic manufacturer made it possible to release the first million tires as early as 1998. At the same time, the enterprise was transferred to a round-the-clock operation mode with a corresponding increase in personnel.

In 2005, SIBUR introduced the new Cordiant trade brand, under which only tires for passenger cars are produced. The debut models of the newly formed brand were the summer Sport and winter Polar. In the same year, the enterprise released its 10-millionth tire. A year later, the company underwent restructuring, as a result of which it acquired its current name, SIBUR - Russian Tires.

In 2007, the domestic manufacturer began the practical implementation of a plan to modernize the enterprise. As part of this program, the latest production equipment was purchased and installed. The first practical results of the long-term program were the development of two new models (Off-Road and Business), as well as a significant expansion of the production range, which, starting from 2010, included over 150 tire sizes.

In 2011, the Cordiant trademark turned into a full-fledged production enterprise. This happened due to the purchase from Continental AG of the main assets in the joint venture Matador-Omskshina. As a result, in the spring of 2012, OAO Cordiant was established, which included the production enterprises of the SIBUR holding in Yaroslavl, Volzhsky, and Omsk.

Currently, the company produces a wide range of tire products, which includes over 400 tire models used in various industries, from the automotive industry to aviation. In addition to production capacities, the company has an excellent scientific base, the foundation of which is the tire testing center in Yaroslavl. It is equipped with the latest equipment and a testing ground suitable for testing any tires, from passenger to aviation ones.
