Cordiant Road Runner

The Cordiant Road Runner summer tire is designed for use on passenger cars of class "B" and "C". The manufacturer addresses the tire to fans of fast and active driving.

In the development of the tire, computer-aided design tools were actively used, which made it possible to significantly improve the tire's performance characteristics. The tread consists of two layers - a sub-groove layer made of rubber with minimized hysteresis losses and the rubber compound that forms the outer wearable part of the tread. This made it possible to significantly improve the reliability and reduce the rolling resistance of the tire. The tire's carcass is equipped with a combined breaker consisting of a two-layer steel cord and a protective wound textile cord. Such a carcass makes the tire durable, resistant to aggressive mechanical stresses and deformations.

Features of the domestic Cordiant Road Runner tire

The design of the tread pattern has a pronounced aggressive appearance. Thanks to the four wide ribs of the directional tread pattern, the tire has excellent handling, traction, and braking performance, as well as a low level of noise and vibration when driving. The Cordiant Road Runner tire tread is equipped with three wide longitudinal grooves, which allows it to successfully resist aquaplaning even when driving at high speeds. This significantly increases the reliability of the vehicle's handling when driving on wet roads. The reinforced shoulder areas of the tread increase the tire's resistance to deformations that occur when cornering, which to a large extent prevents the occurrence of uneven wear, reducing its service life.
