Description Cordiant Road Runner 205/65 R15 94H

The Cordiant Road Runner summer tire is designed for use on passenger cars of class "B" and "C". The manufacturer addresses the tire to fans of fast and active driving.

In the development of the tire, computer-aided design tools were actively used, which made it possible to significantly improve the tire's performance characteristics. The tread consists of two layers - a sub-groove layer made of rubber with minimized hysteresis losses and the rubber compound that forms the outer wearable part of the tread. This made it possible to significantly improve the reliability and reduce the rolling resistance of the tire. The tire's carcass is equipped with a combined breaker consisting of a two-layer steel cord and a protective wound textile cord. Such a carcass makes the tire durable, resistant to aggressive mechanical stresses and deformations.

Features of the domestic Cordiant Road Runner tire

The design of the tread pattern has a pronounced aggressive appearance. Thanks to the four wide ribs of the directional tread pattern, the tire has excellent handling, traction, and braking performance, as well as a low level of noise and vibration when driving. The Cordiant Road Runner tire tread is equipped with three wide longitudinal grooves, which allows it to successfully resist aquaplaning even when driving at high speeds. This significantly increases the reliability of the vehicle's handling when driving on wet roads. The reinforced shoulder areas of the tread increase the tire's resistance to deformations that occur when cornering, which to a large extent prevents the occurrence of uneven wear, reducing its service life.

Dry-Cor technology

The DRY-COR technology supports the tire's grip on dry roads, preventing skidding and drifting thanks to a rigid shoulder zone of the tread

Wet-Cor technology

The WET-COR technology maintains the tire's grip on wet roads, reducing the risk of aquaplaning thanks to an improved drainage system

Innovative Rubber Compound

The use of rubber compounds based on natural rubber and high-dispersion technical carbon provides reduced heat generation and low rolling resistance, which helps to reduce fuel consumption.

Durability

Rigid shoulder ribs of the tire enhance the tire's contact with the road surface during turns and lane changes, providing a precise tire response when navigating the most complex turns and multiple lane changes.

Safety

A symmetrical V-shaped directional tread pattern effectively evacuates water from the contact patch. A large number of fine lamellas improves micro-drainage and leads to additional improvement of the tire's traction properties.

Comfort

The asymmetrical block pattern offset prevents the formation of a sound wave in the tire grooves, which reduces noise and hum when driving.
