The Firemax brand is owned by the Chinese company Shouguang Firemax Tire Co., founded in 2011. Today it is a major modern enterprise engaged in the development, production, and recycling of automobile tires. The annual output is around 12 million units. The products are exported to more than 100 countries on five continents. The company's range includes tires for passenger cars, trucks, SUVs, crossovers, and pickups.
The brand's tires for trucks are divided into the following categories:
- for long-haul transportation;
- for regional transportation;
- for mixed operating conditions;
- for off-road use.
The line of tires for long-haul transportation includes both universal models designed for steering and trailer axles, as well as tires for driving axles. The tread patterns used in them differ accordingly. In the first case, they are dominated by solid longitudinal ribs, which provide good directional stability, and in the second case, they are blocks that improve traction on wet and snowy surfaces. Another feature of tires for driving axles is the increased tread depth of 19-20 mm. This increases the tire's mileage and effectiveness on slippery surfaces.
Firemax regional tires are versatile in application, as most of them can be installed on any axle. At the same time, the tread patterns used in them imply the use of these tires mainly on asphalt roads. They differ from their "long-haul" counterparts in their more robust carcasses and compounds, as well as an increased tread depth, which reduces the risk of tire damage when operated in the most difficult conditions.
The brand's tire line for mixed operating conditions consists of models designed for use primarily on unpaved surfaces. Their scope of application is trucks and special equipment operated on construction and production sites. All tires have universal tread patterns, most of which are adapted for use on dirt roads. The exception is the FM18 model, which is much more effective on wet and snowy highways than on off-road terrain, due to the tread pattern, where massive longitudinal ribs prevail.
Firemax off-road tires are designed for the most difficult operating conditions. They are intended for dump trucks, concrete mixers, and other special equipment, mainly used on unpaved surfaces. All tread patterns have an open design, which is a combination of blocks. This provides stability and high traction on unpaved surfaces. In addition, special compounds are used that are extremely resistant to tears, punctures, and abrasive wear. The reinforced carcass and sidewall structure with a steel cord provide reliable "rim" protection for this part of the tire.
