The Japanese company Toyo (which is not the full name of the firm, as the official documents of the company also feature words such as Tire & Rubber Co) does not have as long a history as many European tire manufacturers can boast. This company was founded in 1945, and the happy moment when the production of automobile tires began was in 1961.
However, today the tires of this company have long been recognized by many hundreds of thousands of car enthusiasts. And not only among ordinary drivers, but also among street racers. And anyone who is even slightly familiar with this extreme type of driving knows that high-quality tires are the basis for survival in street racing. Without them, no tuning will save you. By the way, the company has gained such popularity not only because its products provide maximum possible controllability for the car. It's just that they have worked hard to legitimize street racing.
The tires of this brand are produced in accordance with several principles - maximum environmental friendliness and quality. Environmental friendliness here meets the requirements and standards listed in the ISO 14001 certificate. And the quality of Toyo's tires is in full compliance with the ISO 9002 and ISO 9001 certificates. In addition, these tires are used by such world-famous brands as Mazda, Toyota, Mitsubishi... They take these tires to equip the cars they produce.
The history of the company tells anyone who takes the trouble to familiarize themselves with it that from the very first moment of its existence, the company produced a wide range of products that included all possible rubber products. The development of the company was quite stormy - already in 1949, its shares were registered on the Osaka exchange. And in all subsequent years, development did not stop for a minute. New factories were being built, the first capacities appeared abroad.
By the way, the name of the Toyo brand is not an abbreviation of the word Toyota, as one might think, it is self-contained and translates as "Eastern Ocean". However, this term is often used to refer to the whole of Asia, as if it were a collective image.
This company was the first Japanese manufacturer to launch its production in the USA. 1966 was marked by the opening of the Tire Corporation. At the start, it was just a small office in southern California. It took 33 long years for this branch to grow into a company with a different name, Nitto Tire North America. And it was this company that was responsible for the entire North American market.
Several decades have passed. Toyo Tire & Rubber has managed to conclude several dozen business alliances with other tire manufacturers - with the legendary Italians Pirelli, with Goodyear, with their fellow countrymen Yokohama, and others.
