Toyo Proxes T1 Sport
Tire specifications
DescriptionDescription Toyo Proxes T1 Sport
Released by the famous Japanese manufacturer, the Toyo Proxes T1 Sport passenger summer tire is designed for sports sedans and coupes. The manufacturer refers to this tire as a high-performance tire.
The tire features an asymmetric tread design, the outer part of which provides a larger tire contact patch when cornering, thereby improving traction. The inner part of the tread, which contains longitudinal grooves and rigid ribs, is responsible for a short braking distance, as well as combating aquaplaning. Thanks to the rigid sidewalls, the tire is characterized by prompt and unambiguous reactions to steering wheel turns, which adds confidence when driving. The wide profile of the tire contributes to an increase in the tire's contact patch with the surface, which leads to a more even distribution of load across the contact patch and also improves the tire's grip with the road.
The tread pattern of the Toyo Proxes T1 Sport tire features five ribs, which provide high directional stability. The wide shoulder areas of the tread increase the tire's resistance to deformations that occur when cornering, which significantly improves the stability of the tire's behavior in corners, as well as preventing uneven wear. Three wide longitudinal grooves are offset to the outer side of the tread, which is more loaded when cornering, which significantly increases the efficiency of water removal from the contact patch in corners.
Main features of Toyo Proxes T1 Sport
- Asymmetric tread pattern reduces braking distance, effectively combats aquaplaning, improves traction and directional stability on wet roads;
- Increased sidewall stiffness and its rounded profile reduce the response time to steering wheel turns, making them more unambiguous;
- The enlarged profile reduces the braking distance and improves traction when cornering due to a more even distribution of load across the contact patch area.

I don't know who to, but for me, there is no better tyre than Toyo. I have been driving Infiniti G35x 2008 (362 HP) on T1 Sport 245/45 R18 for 3 seasons now. The tyre is great both in dry and wet conditions, and in acceleration and braking. It has great directional stability and enters turns without slippage. Unlike Yoko and Bridgestone, I don't need to warm it up in

I bought these tires to replace the factory Dunlop Sports I had worn out at 35,000 km, and I'm satisfied: they're much softer and the car rides smoother without losing any handling. I still haven't figured out how they handle in heavy rain, but they're doing a great job on wet roads. Overall, I don't regret buying these tires.

3 seasons down and I'm ordering a new set. I highly recommend. + Grip It's amazing to enter a corner at high speed (long exit arc from the M11) and I don't remember the tires ever whistling on slip. 100% grip, unlike anything I've experienced before. + Comfort It's soft, which is always a good thing. I replaced RunFlat and I was just thrilled as a child in the first year, however it's a fact. - Wear
