DescriptionDescription Toyo Observe Garit G4
The Toyo Observe Garit G4 winter passenger non-studded tire is designed for the widest range of modern passenger car models. This model boasts an incredibly wide range of sizes, with over 90 different options, from 145/80R12 to 245/40R19.
In developing the tread pattern of this model, the DSOC-T computer modeling technology was actively used, which made it possible to select the optimal balance of operational characteristics in various conditions. The practical result of digital technologies was an S-shaped symmetrical non-directional tread pattern consisting of five longitudinal ribs. In the central part of the tread, there is a very massive solid longitudinal rib with a very rigid structure, which made it possible to achieve excellent directional stability. The other two longitudinal ribs, as well as the shoulder areas of the tread, are rows of separate blocks, also distinguished by massive sizes. This construction of the tread provides not only a large contact patch but also an optimal pressure distribution, which increased resistance to uneven wear.
However, the key feature of this model is the innovative composition of the rubber mixture, thanks to which the Toyo Observe Garit G4 tire demonstrates excellent grip on icy surfaces. One of the innovations was the inclusion in the rubber mixture of a special powdered abrasive material based on walnut shell. As a result, a huge number of micro-studs from hard walnut shell particles were formed on the surface of the tread. To make these particles penetrate through the water film on the surface of the ice, special components were included in the rubber mixture, which gave it excellent water-absorbing properties.
The main features of the Toyo Observe Garit G4 tire
- A unique S-shaped design of a symmetrical non-directional tread pattern was obtained using the DSOC-T computer modeling technology, which made it possible to provide an ideal balance of operational characteristics on various types of surfaces;
- An increased number of "spider-like" lamellas provides improved ice grip;
- The innovative rubber mixture includes powdered abrasive based on walnut shell, water-absorbing components, as well as silica, which gives the tire excellent wear resistance and elasticity at low temperatures.

Fifteen years of driving experience, six cars changed in Sibir, Krasnoyarsk, snowy winters from -15 to -35 degrees Celsius. I prefer Nokia, and up to a certain point, I also preferred Bridgestone. In the autumn of 2010, I went to look for tires, as I had always driven on Nokias and Bridgestones. I couldn't afford to buy Bridgestones on Nokias and, as if fate had it

I've been driving on non-studded winter tires for 10 years on my SUBARU vehicles. I really liked Nokian tires, particularly the HAKKA WR and HAKKA R models made in Finland. However, when the production was moved to Russia, I decided not to take a chance and opted for something from Japan - the Toyo Grit 4. I drove on them for 2 winters, but now I've switched to the Bridgestone REVA Z because

Good tires, worth their money
They behave perfectly in snow, weak in mud, float in snow slush, behave decently on dry asphalt, on ice they behave quite well (if you don't make sharp movements, you can move calmly), brake poorly on a wet road. Average wear.

The advertisement claims that "the rubber compound of the tread of these tires has inclusions of organic material based on nut shells". Then everything converges: they are not worth "eaten shells".
