Toyo Proxes T1+
Tire specifications
DescriptionDescription Toyo Proxes T1+
The summer tire Toyo Proxes T1+ is the flagship of the entire passenger car model line of the renowned Japanese manufacturer. It is a modernized version of the same-name model, which differs in a number of improved technical characteristics. Most of them are related to grip on a wet road, with which the tire without the "+" in the name had certain problems. They were solved by optimizing the drainage system and the composition of the rubber mixture, thanks to which this model is characterized by an almost ideal balance, which, in turn, was lacking in its predecessor.
Excellent stability in turns
The tread pattern has an asymmetrical design, which, in favor of universality, contains several different zones in terms of structure. The differences allow them to improve certain operational properties. One of these areas is located on the outer side of the tread. The elements located here are characterized by increased resistance to deformation and massive sizes. Thanks to this, the tire, when passing turns, demonstrates reliable and very stable coupling properties, providing the driver with clear feedback.
Fast response to steering wheel turns
In turn, the inner side of the tread is responsible for directional stability on straight roads, the speed and accuracy of responses when turning the steering wheel. All this is ensured by the rigid structure of the two longitudinal ribs and the numerous blocks of the shoulder zone of the tread.
High braking efficiency at any speed
Another characteristic feature of the tread of this tire is the presence of a large number of transverse coupling edges. They are located both in the central part and in the shoulder zones, while having a significant length. Thanks to this, this model demonstrates excellent efficiency when braking from any speed.
Main features of Toyo Proxes T1+
- a tread divided into several functional zones provides the highest performance in any conditions;
- excellent grip in turns and when braking due to a deformation-resistant design of the shoulder zones;
- excellent resistance to aquaplaning and grip on a wet road is provided by a productive drainage system and an optimized compound composition with increased silica content.
