The Toyo Snowprox S942 winter passenger tire was specifically designed for Western and Central Europe, which is reflected in its rather specific operational properties. Due to these properties, in our country, this model should be considered as a maximum all-season tire, especially in regions located in close proximity to the Arctic Circle.
High-performance tread
The choice in favor of a tread with an asymmetric arrangement of elements is due, first of all, to the desire to give the tire high performance on various types of coverage. For the same reason, the tread pattern contains several functional areas that improve certain operational properties. In particular, its inner side contains many double transverse blocks spaced far apart. This significantly improves the longitudinal grip on snow. In turn, the outer part of the tread "fights" with skidding when maneuvering and turning.
Bidirectional lamellae
The lamellae cut into all blocks differ in arrangement at different angles relative to the direction of movement. This solution gives the grip properties on ice and rolled snow even more reliability and stability. At the same time, the presence of special blockers limits the mobility of tread elements when opening the lamellae, which has a positive effect on handling.

Soft, very quiet. Didn't let me down. Good on ice. At plus temperatures, it floats
Suits me, towed a Tavria uphill, knee-deep snow - pulled it out. However, Fulda KR Mont is more universal (installed on Tavria), and when it gets a bit warmer, the car is like a cradle on the road - floats and rocks and the tires rustle with their tread and don't brake. On slush and ice

It's worth every penny
I installed two of them a few days ago. There's almost no noise up to 100 km/h. The car just stays on the road. When turning at a speed of 100-110 km/h, it doesn't throw the rear or toss the car, it confidently passes as if on rails, without going onto the shoulder or into oncoming traffic.

A good tire that's worth its money.
I bought it back in October. Used it for two weeks on dry asphalt at a temperature of +10-15 degrees. At this temperature, the tire is very soft and floats. But when it got colder, it's a completely different tire, it holds the road well and brakes. On Saturday, about 10cm of snow fell.
