Toyo Observe Ice-Freezer SUV

The Toyo Observe Ice-Freezer SUV winter tire is designed for compact and mid-size crossovers. It is a special version of the similarly named model, differing from it with an reinforced carcass and sidewalls. In all other respects, both tires are identical, which means that buyers can expect excellent traction and directional stability on any winter surface.

Directional tread pattern

The tread features a directional design with sufficiently large elements. In the central part, there is a solid rib with elongated "branches". The transverse edges formed by them, interacting with similar elements of the shoulder blocks, increase the traction force and braking efficiency on snow. At the same time, the solid structure of the rib gives the handling precision and improves directional stability, while the inclined drainage grooves provide resistance to aquaplaning and slush planing.

3D lamellas

The entire tread is covered with small sinusoidal cuts. The feature of these already familiar elements is their ability to open at a larger angle. This is made possible by the special profile of the side walls of the cuts, which reliably fix them in this position.

"Snow knife"

The shoulder areas on the outside have special protrusions. Their sharp edges literally bite into the snow, allowing for more confident overcome of complex sections or facilitating exit from the rut.

Improved traction on ice

In addition to lamellas, the traction properties on ice are provided by studs. Compared to the previous model, their number has been significantly increased. This made it possible to form from 28 rows of steel elements, depending on the tire size. The area around them contains numerous edges that remove ice crumbs, additionally strengthening traction on ice.

Microbit compound

The tread is made from a rubber mixture obtained using Microbit technology. Its composition includes tiny particles of walnut shell. They form very hard and sharp edges, significantly improving traction with the icy surface.
