Gislaved SpikeControl
Description Gislaved SpikeControl
Gislaved SpikeControl – a winter tire with a developed block system designed for operation on a wide range of passenger cars in urban conditions. It is characterized by reliable traction, both on icy and snowy roads. Such versatility was achieved through the use of advanced modeling technologies, manufacturing, as well as high-quality raw materials.
The tire's tread is represented by a directional structure with a developed block system. Forming an extensive network of catches, it guarantees the strength of fixing the contact zone and maintaining full control over the vehicle on winter roads. In addition, the directionality of the blocks creates numerous channels that increase the effectiveness of self-cleaning the tread from dirt, slush, moisture, and solid particles. This, in turn, maintains the reliability of traction and coupling properties.
An important aspect that increases the stability of the vehicle's behavior on icy roads is the presence of spikes. In this case, they are represented by medium-sized elements that are distinguished by their strength of fixation in the seating areas.
Among the features of the model, one can highlight its compound, which is distinguished by its high degree of optimization for low-temperature modes. This was achieved through the inclusion of silica in its composition, as well as a number of components. Their action is aimed at maintaining the optimal level of elasticity. In addition, the abrasive wear was reduced when operating the tire on clean asphalt.
The main features of the Gislaved SpikeControl tire:
- an effective tread with an abundance of gripping edges formed by blocks and a lamellar network;
- a highly efficient drainage system that maintains the cleanliness of the contact zone;
- spikes that increase the stability of driving characteristics on slippery roads;
- a compound with additives that allow maintaining elasticity over a wide temperature range
