Gislaved received the "Golden Horn" award
The "Klaxon" newspaper, which has been published since 1990, after a brief break, summed up the results of the "Golden Klaxon" contest, which this time had 16 nominations, and for the first time, based on the results of a popular vote, the best tire brand was determined. The award was received by the Gislaved brand, under which tires are produced in Russia by the "Cordiant" holding.
12 tire brands fought for the right to receive the award, and "Cordiant" was represented by four brands that cover all market segments: Gislaved, Cordiant, Torero and Tunga.
"Winning the 'Golden Klaxon' award is not only a recognition of the high quality of our products, but also a confirmation of the trust of motorists across the country," noted Vadim Volodin, General Director of Cordiant JSC. "We create technological tires with premium characteristics for real roads and are glad that our customers appreciate this."
Currently, nine tire models are produced under the Gislaved brand in Russia, which allows covering more than 90% of the country's main vehicle fleet, including 85% of the tire segment for new passenger cars. The range includes five winter tires: studded IceControl, SpikeControl and Nord*Frost 200, as well as friction ArcticControl and Soft*Frost 200, which, according to the manufacturer, "are perfectly adapted for use in the northern latitudes, provide improved traction on snowy and icy surfaces, excellent directional stability, as well as effective water, snow and mud drainage from the contact patch with the road".
"Gislaved is a premium brand with a rich history. It was founded in Sweden in 1893 and is famous for tires designed for difficult driving conditions and meeting international quality standards. Gislaved has a serious production and scientific base, which allows it to constantly improve and expand the range of tires," the company emphasizes.
Currently, Gislaved tires are produced at the same-name plants in Kaluga and Ulyanovsk, which previously belonged to Continental and Bridgestone (tread patterns are also taken from tires of the mentioned companies).
