Among the differences was the small weight, permanent four-wheel drive, and front suspension of the independent type, which significantly improved handling, especially in difficult conditions. A year later, in 1997, another version with a 2.7-liter gasoline engine appeared.

1999 marked a restyling, which affected the front of the car, in particular, the radiator grille and bumper changed. The salon featured a proprietary Optitron panel, and it became more spacious. In addition, some systems were added to increase the comfort of control.

Further development

The third generation with the index 120 appeared in 2002. The car was also presented in two versions: long with five doors and short - with three. The salon has also changed, becoming more comfortable. At the same time, the frame structure and energy-intensive suspension were preserved, allowing to overcome difficult sections. As for the Russian sector, a "charged" version with a 4.0-liter engine with 250 horsepower and an automatic transmission was supplied here.

The fourth generation appeared in 2009 and had the index 150. It was based on the same platform as its predecessor, only with some changes.
