The Toyota Avensis began production in 1997, replacing the popular but outdated Carina E model. The engine range has expanded even more and was represented by power units that differed in high environmental friendliness. The suspension was also redesigned, providing a smooth ride with a high degree of responsiveness.

In 2012, the car underwent a restyling that affected the ergonomics of the salon and slightly the exterior.
