Шины на Toyota Starlet (Тоуота)

The Toyota Starlet first appeared in the Japanese brand's lineup in 1973, lasting until 1999 as a subcompact hatchback. Its return took place in 2020, but as one of the variants of the Suzuki Baleno model of 2019.

First Generation

The car that debuted in 1973 was an enlarged and more equipped version of the Publica model. The body design was created according to the sketches of Giorgetto Giugiaro. The lineup consisted of a sedan and a coupe, the latter being called the Baby Celica due to its obvious resemblance. The engine range consisted of gasoline engines with a volume of 1 and 1.2 liters, producing 58 and 68 horsepower, respectively.

Second Generation

In 1978, the second-generation model was released, which proved to be much more successful than its predecessor. The car was a landmark for the Japanese brand, as it was with this model that it first managed to "enter the market," which was actively growing in Europe in the "super-mini" segment. Only 3- and 5-door hatchbacks were supplied to the Old World, despite the presence of a 5-door wagon in the lineup, which was available in several countries, including Japan. The popularity was due to reliability, ease of handling, and good ride smoothness.

Third Generation

The third-generation model, presented in 1984, differed from its predecessor in terms of layout. A more modern platform with front-wheel drive was used here. As before, the lineup included 3- and 5-door hatchbacks, as well as a wagon intended for commercial use on the so-called "last mile." In addition to the platform, the car differed in its engine range, which included new 12-valve engines with a volume of 1 and 1.3 liters. The most powerful modifications could be combined not only with a "mechanic" but also with a 4-speed "automatic." In 1990, a version with the All-Trac all-wheel-drive system from the Celica sports coupe was introduced into the lineup.

Fourth Generation

The debut of the next-generation car took place in 1989. It differed from its predecessor in its more "rounded" body and interior design, while preserving the key features of the concept and equipment. Technically, the key innovation was the appearance of modernized 1.3-liter engines, which were installed on most versions of this model. The list of available versions was significantly expanded, primarily due to the "charged" modifications, which offered a 1.3-liter engine with a turbocharger, externally distinguished by more aggressive bumpers and sports seats in the front.

Fifth Generation

In 1996, the Japanese brand presented the fifth generation of the model, which was a modified version of the cars of the previous generation. Perhaps the most noticeable feature in the exterior was the belt line in the front doors, which lowered in the area of the rearview mirrors, improving visibility. Another difference was the reduction in the number of versions, of which only three remained. The base version was called Reflet, the "sporty" one was Glanza, and the top one was Carat. For the first two, several equipment options were offered, differing in the amount of available equipment.

Sixth Generation

After more than two decades of absence from the production lineup, the Japanese company returned the model with this name to it. The sixth generation represented one of the variations of the compact hatchback Glanza, which was a copy of the Suzuki Baleno model of 2019. The difference between this version was that it was intended for African countries, which was reflected primarily in the technical components. First of all, this concerns the engine - a gasoline "atmospheric" engine with a volume of 1.4 liters and a power of 92 horsepower, which, depending on the version, worked in tandem with a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 4-range "automatic." As with the Glanza, the car turned out to be quite well-equipped for its segment - the SmartStudio multimedia system with a 7-inch display and Harman acoustics, LED headlights, rear parking sensors. The factory configurations of this car implied the use of 15- and 16-inch disks, which, among other wheel products, are presented in the online store "Mosavtoshina".
