The Triangle TI501 IceLynX winter tire was developed with the climatic conditions of countries located north of the Arctic Circle in mind. The model is distinguished by improved traction on snow and ice, as well as handling precision unusual for tires in this category.

The tread pattern, although made in a typical directional symmetric design for winter tires, has a number of features. One of them is the small protrusions at the corners of the blocks.
