Шины на BMW 3 Series (БМВ)
The BMW 3 Series, more commonly known in our country as the "BMW triple", is a line of compact luxury cars. It has been produced since 1975, being at that time a popular Series 02. Currently, the 7th generation model is offered, which still ranks among the best-selling cars of this brand, accounting for around 30% of the total volume.First and Second Generation
The first "triple" is the 2-door sedan E21, which replaced the Series 02 cars in the lineup. At the time of its launch, it was available exclusively with 4-cylinder carburetor engines, which were replaced by analogs with electronic fuel injection at the end of 1975. Two years later, the engine range was supplemented with 6-cylinder power units. In 1978, a convertible appeared, which was produced by Baur until 1981. The second generation of the model, in the E30 body, was introduced in 1982. This was also a 2-door sedan. However, in 1983, the lineup was expanded with 4-door versions, in 1985 - with a convertible, and in 1987 - with a station wagon. Another innovation of the second generation was the diesel engine and all-wheel drive. In addition, a very popular and still popular "charged" version of the M3 with a 235 hp engine was released on the basis of the second "triple".Third and Fourth Generation
In 1990, one of the most popular cars in the history of the brand appeared. The E36 model was distinguished by an extremely successful design and driving characteristics. The list of components included a multi-link rear suspension, 6-speed manual and 5-speed automatic transmissions, as well as excellent 6-cylinder S50 and S52 engines. In addition, the list of bodies has expanded. From the moment of the start of sales, the car was available as a sedan, station wagon, convertible, coupe, and hatchback. The next generation, with the E46 index, was a further development of the extremely successful E36 cars. The most recognizable features in the design were preserved. The all-wheel drive, which was not available since the production of the E30 was discontinued, returned to the list of components, and the 6-cylinder engines received a system of double phase gas distribution, and the M3 received a 6-speed sequential SMG-II transmission.Fifth and Sixth Generation
The evolutionary development of the model continued in its fifth generation, presented in 2004. The engines received a turbocharger, and the spare tire disappeared from the list of equipment, the car began to be equipped with Run-Flat tires. The "charged" version of the M3 was equipped with an 8-cylinder V-shaped S65 engine, which further distanced it from the standard "triple" modifications. The sixth generation of the model, presented in 2011, lost the coupe and convertible, which formed the 4th series. Instead, the manufacturer added the Gran Turismo to the lineup, a hatchback with an extended wheelbase. In addition, a 3-cylinder engine appeared in the engine lineup for the first time. The M3 version also lost some cylinders, receiving an in-line 6-cylinder S55 engine with double turbocharging.Seventh Generation
The "triple" of the current generation was presented in 2018. In this generation, the German manufacturer offered a sedan and station wagon with engines from the previous generation, adding fully "electric" versions to them. In addition to the existing M3 and M3 Competition, the M3 Touring appeared in the lineup. The "touring" version in the station wagon body, having the same components as the regular M3, differs in more "calm" engine, transmission, and chassis settings.Advantages of selecting tires on our website for BMW 3 Series
