The Audi e-tron Sportback is one of the versions of the mid-size crossover with a fully electric powertrain. The car differs from the standard model by a coupe-shaped body. It has been produced since autumn 2019.

Despite the sloping roof, the car retained the dimensions of the standard e-tron, differing from it only in height, which is reduced by 13 mm, to 1616 mm. However, the different body profile provided it with noticeably better aerodynamics, reducing the air resistance coefficient from 0.28 to 0.25. Taking into account the use of a fully electric powertrain, this allowed to slightly increase the range, adding about 10 extra kilometers to it. In technical terms, the crossover is a virtually exact copy of the original e-tron. The same MLB Evo modular platform is used here without any changes, as well as a chassis with a "sporty" bias - double levers at the front and "multi-link" at the rear. All "default" modifications have pneumatic suspension with electronic control, which automatically changes the ground clearance by 76 mm depending on the driving conditions. In the "basic" version, the car has two electric motors, one on each axle, developing a total of up to 313 hp and 540 Nm of torque. With this powertrain, the crossover accelerates to "hundred" in 6.8 seconds, but no more than 190 km/h. The capacity of the traction battery is 71 kWh, which can be enough for up to 347 kilometers. A more dynamic modification offers the same powertrain layout, but with higher power and torque ratings - up to 408 hp and 561 Nm. It is equipped with a larger 95 kWh battery and a corresponding range - up to 446 kilometers. Both versions have a single charging device, designed for 11 kW of alternating current and up to 120 kW of direct current.

Interior

The design of the interior and the 5-seat saloon layout fully repeat the standard e-tron, including three combined screens on the front panel. The difference is the ceiling height above the second row, which is reduced by 2 cm due to the body shape. The same reason is the reduction of the luggage compartment volume, which is 45 liters less, totaling 555 liters. The second luggage compartment, like the "original", is located under the hood, having the same volume of 60 liters and preserving the possibility of storing a portable charging device in it. In terms of equipment, there are also no changes, including an extensive list of additional options, including matrix headlights and cameras instead of rear-view mirrors. In the "basic" version of the configuration, the crossover has 19-inch wheels, and in the more expensive one - up to 22 inches.
