In 2003, an even more powerful version appeared with a 4.2-liter gasoline V8 from the flagship A8, and in the initial configuration, the car was equipped with an economical 164-hp diesel power unit with a volume of 2.5 liters.
Second Generation
In 2005, the announcement of the next-generation car took place. The station wagon again received an electronically controlled air suspension and an all-wheel-drive system from its predecessor. The engine range has significantly expanded, which included a 3.2-liter gasoline FSI. A pair of diesel engines was also preserved, but these power units significantly increased in power and torque. Another innovation was the appearance of a modified version of the 6-speed "automatic" Tiptronic, which by default was included in the equipment of versions with top-end gasoline and diesel engines, and for the rest, it was offered for an additional fee. This transmission worked well with high-torque engines, providing faster gear shifting, as well as almost not allowing it when braking and cornering. In turn, the air suspension became 5-mode, changing the ground clearance in the range of up to 60 mm. Externally, the car still differed from the standard with extended arches and bumpers, as well as sills protruding beyond the body.Third Generation
