Шины на Audi RS3 (Ауди)

Audi RS3 has been present in the production range of the German brand since 2011. The car is a "charged" version of the model with the A3 index, which has gone from a niche "hot hatch" to one of the most high-tech cars in its class over several generations, while preserving the 5-cylinder engine and permanent all-wheel drive quattro, which have become the model's "visiting card".

First Generation

The car, which debuted in 2011, was created based on the Audi A3 Sportback series 8P, initially conceived as a logical continuation of the compact model line. However, in reality, its role turned out to be broader, as well as the number of buyers. First and foremost, this was due to the non-trivial choice of technical components. One of them was the in-line 5-cylinder petrol engine with a volume of 2.5 liters and a turbocharger, developing 340 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. The unit was combined exclusively with a 7-speed robotic gearbox S-tronic and an all-wheel drive system quattro with a multi-plate Haldex clutch of the latest generation at that time.

The chassis was significantly modified compared to the regular A3: reinforced subframes, reconfigured shock absorbers, and enlarged brake mechanisms with 8-piston calipers at the front. Already in the base version, Audi offered an adaptive Magnetic Ride suspension, which allows changing the stiffness of the shock absorbers depending on the driving mode. The equipment included sports seats with integrated head restraints, aluminum pedal pads, and an advanced stabilization system with a separate sports mode. The first-generation RS3 was distinguished by its dense, collected handling, but at the same time remained comfortable in everyday use.

Second Generation

In 2015, the production of the second generation with the 8V index began, which became a significant step forward both in dynamics and in equipment. Initially, the model was produced in the Sportback body, and later a sedan appeared in the lineup, which expanded the car's audience. The 5-cylinder 2.5 TFSI engine received an aluminum cylinder block, which reduced its weight. It can be noted that a significant part of the components was located outside the wheelbase, which positively affected the handling, and the car finally got rid of a significant portion of insufficient steerability that its predecessor was "guilty" of. The power of the power unit increased to 367 horsepower, and after restyling - up to 400 horsepower with a torque of 480 Nm.

The transmission retained the technical components of its predecessor but received new settings that accelerated gear shifting. The all-wheel drive system became more actively redistributing torque between the wheels, and the electronic "assistants" received expanded settings. The equipment included matrix LED headlights, a virtual instrument cluster with RS graphics, a sports steering wheel with a flattened rim, and an extended package of driver assistants. The suspension became stiffer, the track wider, which improved stability at high speed and behavior in fast corners. The second-generation RS3 was already considered not only as a fast road car but also as a full-fledged tool for track days.

Third Generation

The production of the model with the 8Y index started in 2021, and it was this version that became the most radical in terms of handling. Despite maintaining power at the level of 400 horsepower, engineers focused on revising the chassis and all-wheel drive system. The main technical innovation was the RS Torque Splitter - a node with two electronically controlled clutches on the rear axle, which can redistribute torque not only between axles but also between the rear wheels individually. This solution made it possible to achieve neutral steerability in corners and implement a special Torque Rear mode, oriented towards active passage of arcs and controlled skidding. The suspension received more rigid mounts, other levers, and reconfigured adaptive shock absorbers. The braking system in the base version is equipped with enlarged steel discs, and as an option, carbon-ceramic mechanisms are available, designed for intense loads.

The interior of the third generation is made with an emphasis on the driver: sports seats with pronounced lateral support, a steering wheel with separate buttons for quick access to driving modes, a multimedia system with telemetry display, boost pressure, and temperature parameters. In combination, these solutions make the car one of the most driver-oriented in the segment of compact sports cars.

19-inch wheels with low-profile sports tires are standard for it. The correctly selected set of wheels directly affects traction, the accuracy of steering reactions, and the resource of chassis elements, so buying in the "Mosavtoshina" online store allows you to combine technical compatibility with practicality.
