The Audi A4 represents a large family from the world-renowned German manufacturer, presented by mid-size cars. The transmission was either a 5-6-speed manual or a 4-5-speed "automatic". This modification was produced until 2001.
Generation 2
In 2000, the production of a new generation began, which stood out for its more modern equipment, high quality, and greater proximity to cars of a higher class. An important aspect was the absence of a basic configuration. The buyer himself chose the options he wanted to see in his car.As for the power units, the range was represented by three gasoline engines and two diesel engines, with a volume from 1.3 to 3.0 liters. Moreover, four-wheel drive was installed not only in combination with powerful engines but also with less voluminous installations, expanding the capabilities of the car.
Three body options were offered - sedan, wagon, and convertible. In addition, there was a choice of interior trim, which was based on three main variations: - Advance - trim with wood and leather elements; - Ambition - sports salon with a predominance of light tones and aluminum inserts; - Ambiente - luxury-class salon, made of natural leather with inserts from elite wood species.
Generation 3
The next global update of the model took place in 2004. The car acquired more streamlined outlines, the kinematics of its suspension changed, which became more responsive and sporty. The engine range was also expanded, which was represented by six gasoline and three diesel engines. Significant changes underwent active and passive safety systems. The ergonomics of the salon improved, which was now decorated with higher-quality materials. Among the advantages, one can highlight the rich arsenal of additions, including a navigation system, 4-zone climate control, various disks, xenon headlights, and others. This is the most successful modification of the model, which affected not only the design but also all power units. Now the car has acquired more stylish headlights, "evil" air intakes. In its powertrain lineup, only two gasoline engines and three diesel engines remained. Moreover, gasoline engines were created using new technology, which increased torque and reduced fuel consumption. All changes so improved the model that it was able to exist until 2015, i.e., for 8 years. And in 2011, the 5-millionth Audi A4 car was released.The next fifth generation could not boast of global changes in appearance. But the power units underwent significant changes. The car began to be equipped with three gasoline engines of 1.4 and 2.0 liters, four diesel engines - from 150 to 272 horsepower, as well as a gas power unit G-tron. All engines work in conjunction with a robotic or mechanical transmission.
