As before, the power unit is combined only with a 7-speed robotic gearbox S Tronic and an all-wheel drive system with a connectable rear axle. The operation of these components is controlled by a single unit, which provides six modes, two of which are the most "extreme" - RS1, RS2. They allow making individual settings and are activated by a specially allocated button on the steering wheel.

Another important difference from the standard Q3 was the suspension. The crossover stands out with an increased track, due to which it was necessary to expand the wheel arches by 10 mm. The suspension uses other components that have reduced the clearance by 10 mm and provide a more rigid movement. In the long list of additional equipment, there is an adaptive chassis with electronically controlled shock absorbers. The next feature was the braking mechanisms. In the front, 375 mm disks and 6-piston calipers are used, and in the back - 310 mm. There is an opportunity to install, for an additional fee, carbon-ceramic brakes with a diameter of 380 mm in the front.

In the cabin, the car is almost indistinguishable from other representatives of the RS line, offering a characteristic design and materials of decorative elements, sports seats, and a "cut-off" steering wheel at the bottom, along with displays of the instrument panel and multimedia system with a fixed design for the standard version and the possibility of customization - in a more expensive configuration.
