In 2019, the fifth-generation sedan debuted. Despite the general trend of transferring S-versions to diesel engines, the car received a gasoline engine — a V-shaped "eight" with two turbochargers with a volume of 4 liters. Its output is 571 horsepower, and the torque is 800 Nm. In addition, the power unit received a "hybrid" supplement in the form of a 48-volt starter-generator, which adds a little power when starting from a place and saves fuel due to the recovery of electrical energy during braking, increasing the duration of the "start-stop" system. The transmission is a "proprietary" set of the Quattro all-wheel drive system and an 8-speed automatic transmission.
