Tyre reviews Dunlop GrandTrek Ice 02. Page 17 396

The tire is worthy, over two winter seasons and 35,000 km of mileage in St. Petersburg, Leningrad, Vologda regions and Karelia, it has lost almost no spikes (about 5 percent), good traction with snow and ice. Of course, it's not worth racing on such tires like in the summer, winter is winter. The only drawback I consider is the increased noise, but you quickly get used to it. The tire wear is also small, although there is a lot of driving on bare asphalt in St. Petersburg.

Dunlop GrandTrek Ice 02 245/70 R16 107T on UAZ Patriot used for two winters. 2023-2024 is the third season. In the first season, 1 stud came out. In the second season, 1-2 on each wheel. The tire was liked. It handles well, starts/stops without complaints. Provides good cross-country ability on snow and mud.

Excellent tires! In Arctic conditions, they performed perfectly, over two seasons (winter 6 months a year) "lost" 10% of the spikes from each tire during dynamic driving, I consider this a good result. The grip on asphalt is ideal at both -5 and -40 degrees. In snow, it's not bad, but it digs in, and it's better not to drive in deep snow.
Of the minuses, I would highlight the large weight of the tires.

Fitted in size 235/60 R17 106T XL, I liked the tread pattern and the low price. At the time of purchase, this was a new model from a fairly reputable brand that hadn't yet been extensively tested.
As a result, the handling in turns was accordingly low for the price. For unhurried movement on winter roads, it will do, but no more than that. The large tread pattern allows you not to worry too much in snowy slush, the noise level seemed low, and the ride is smooth.
But it's no wonder that the model was quickly replaced by the GrandTrek Ice 03.

I took a long time to choose - I wanted a good tire for winter at a low price. I got it at a low price - I bought tires on sale with a good discount, but a good winter tire - I didn't get it. The braking is awful, the directional stability just barely reaches 4 out of 5, it's noisy, "slipping", in turns it goes into a slip. I didn't like it, I don't recommend it. A
