Tyre reviews Dunlop SP Sport 01 1290
- Rate
A tire made in Germany in dimensions 215/55/R16 deteriorated very little losing its properties, retaining traction on asphalt when braking, turning at high speed with a clear response to steering due to its stiff, reinforced sidewall and several potholes on the road left no marks on the tire. It lasted 30000 km.

Hello! I've already written a review about Dunlop SP Sport 01 225/50/17 before replacing them with the same brand, so I'll keep it short. I bought them in 2015 in Moscow in the winter at Mosavtoшин. They were delivered on time to the Altai region. The four delivered tires were made in the UK, while the originals were made in Germany. The only difference was the load index. I think the deep grooves will last a

They were on the factory "Comfort" trim. The car was from 2012. The wheels were stamped steel. The tire is good, but not on all modes. It doesn't like wet asphalt (the worst fault when starting is slipping), but it didn't let down. On the mud and snow, it's absolutely not (it doesn't slow down and "floats"). On dry asphalt, it's especially good when warmed up. I drove with it for four years (at least

I'm not sure about the new ones. They're catastrophically loud when worn down. They hum more in the city on the highway the faster you go the quieter they get. The camber stability is super and the tread pattern is minimal. The tread is directional and only one side of the tire is water-repellent, while the other side pushes water into the tire. There's no distinction between left and right tires, they're all the same. It's not safe to drive in

Tires are great!!! No complaints. Mileage is lacking, though. Rear-wheel drive car. These tires are designed for one season. And they do okay for replacements!!!!
Overall, they're not bad, considering the price for such a large size from the same manufacturer. My vehicle is a 2012 Jaguar.

So-so, from the middle to the half. 245/45 R18
I installed them on both BMW 7 (E32) and BMW 5 (E60). There's no difference. I'm not particularly delighted. While it's new, it handles the road perfectly! As it wears out, the situation gets worse and worse, but even with a worn-out tread, it's still gripping in sharp turns. As for driving through puddles, you can feel the j

Below +6°C, tires become hard as a board. Not too bad, if they weren't so noisy, hard and sensitive to road camber at warmer temperatures. Less well-known brands in size 265/45/21 are better in many characteristics than these.

Good tire. I took one at first for the rear, then a few more for the front a year later. I like it. Wear resistance is at a good level, not too noisy.

On dry asphalt, it accelerates to 220 km/h - it grips perfectly!!! On a gravel road, I didn't dare to go above 120 km/h, as the handling of the car was lost. On a potholed asphalt road, I drive either up to 40 km/h, or 100-140 km/h. It's dangerous to drive at high speeds over large and deep puddles (the only drawback). No crack is visible, all the rims are intact. It

I bought a car with these tires at a dealership. The tire is absolutely suitable for the price. I bought a new one of the same type for 130,000. The car was sold, the buyer is very satisfied (the tire was only used in the season). It grips the road perfectly in both dry and wet weather.
Value for money is key, Japanese production tire (used on many Japanese and German premium class cars). I recommend.
