A distinctive feature of the configuration was the presence of an electronic imitation of the front axle differential lock already in the "base".

Updated Version

In 2017, the next-generation car was released, following the premiere of the updated Golf of the seventh generation. The key innovation was the change in the engine range, namely its "petrol" part, in which new engines with a volume of 1.5 liters of the EA211 evo family appeared, which are distinguished by the use of a turbocharger with a variable geometry, working according to the economical Miller cycle, and are able to turn off a pair of cylinders when moving evenly with a low load.

The changes in the exterior were also minor. The car differed from its predecessor with other bumpers and a radiator grille, the presence of LED headlights of the headlight in expensive versions of the configuration and rear lights in all versions. Inside, the minivan offered updated multimedia systems with a 9.2-inch display, and the top configuration had a gesture recognition function. Among other equipment features, it is worth noting the presence of a driver assistance complex with a system for automatic braking in front of pedestrians, adaptive cruise control, and a trailer towing assistant.
