All versions are equipped with a full-fledged hydro-mechanical automatic transmission with 8 gears, rather than a "robot". In addition to this, the standard equipment includes the Haldex 5th generation all-wheel drive system. I.e., "by default" the car is front-wheel drive, and when the front wheels slip, the electronics transfers up to 50% of the torque to the rear axle in a matter of fractions of a second. It's worth noting the impressive ground clearance of the car - 210 mm, which largely neutralizes one of the factors limiting its effectiveness off-road - the large wheelbase length. Additionally, the SUV's bottom is flat, and the most critical components are protected by plastic shields, which have proven to be quite durable in practice.
