Tyre reviews Michelin Primacy 3. Page 2 392

I spent a long time choosing what to buy for my Allyon. The choice was not easy. I eliminated budget options outright, only looking at tyres costing more than 4,000 rubles per wheel, with dimensions R16 205/60. After a long and difficult selection, I finally settled on two Michelin Primacy and Continental ContiPremiumContact 5 tyres. To those who don't want to read the full review: next time, I'll buy Continental. And then read

I'm writing this review 3 years after I stopped using this particular tire model, which was in 2020. Prior to that, I used several sets of these tires for a total of 9 years: first on a Honda, then a new set on an Octavia. On a Skoda, I initially drove on 205/55/16, then 225/45/17.
When I switched to the 225-width tires, I immediately noticed increased noise, which was very noticeable. The 205-width tires were almost silent.
The tires are definitely suitable for dry roads - acceleration, braking, lateral stability, comfort, and curb protection are all excellent. However, they are absolutely unsuitable for wet roads. The climax of my experience was sudden aquaplaning on a wet road on a completely flat section of road (speed was around 100 km/h, it had stopped raining, and the road was drying), resulting in a complete loss of control and a total wreck. I note that the Primacy 3 is less wear-resistant than the Michelin Energy Saver.
Would I buy these tires again? Definitely not!

Good tires. No wear after 4000 km. They behave well on asphalt. They behave well on wet asphalt too, although I didn't drive on big puddles at high speeds. The average speed on the highway is 100-120 km/h.
I would give 4 out of 5 in terms of noise. As for the tire's durability, I'm too early to judge.

Of course, I only used them during the summer and on good European roads. There, they performed simply outstandingly, at any speed. Both on straightaways and in sharp turns. Definitely, the car with these tires became much better, although the previous ones were okay.

The car's original tire was the Yokohama ADVAN A-460. After experiencing a minor hydroplaning incident on the highway during rainy conditions while turning at 80 km/h, I considered purchasing a new tire, despite the old one still having some life left (2mm tread depth in some areas). The choice was between Michelin Primacy 3 and Yokohama ADVAN V105, and I ultimately chose Michelin. After replacing the tires, the car's handling was completely

I really like it. Holds the road exclusively even at 240. Noisy, but that's a run-flat and I even enjoy it. At the current mileage, the tire has traveled over 2000. Better than the ES. Let's see how far it will go. Bridgestone has covered 35 000 miles.

I wanted a softer and quieter ride so I replaced it with a new one. Of course, there's a noticeable difference between the original and the replacement, the seams and grooves are definitely softer, but it took some getting used to the way it handled. The steering feel was dulled and all handling adjustments felt a bit sloppy, but that's not what this car was made for, so that's not an issue for me. It handles perfectly on straightaways. It handles great in the rain

Hello! I've driven on these tires for a season, about 22000 km. Everything's fine, much quieter than the Nokian Blue, driving on water is normal, handling at high altitude - drove along the serpentine roads of Sochi in the summer. In general, I'm satisfied so far.

The tires are worth their money. I think Michelin for summer, and Hakkapeliitta for winter.

Very happy with the tyres. After the oak Toyo Proxes CF2, the feeling is as if I changed not the tyres, but the car itself. It became unusually quiet, surprisingly soft and very comfortable. That is the whole review. Tyres for those who value comfortable and appropriate driving.
