Tyre reviews Michelin X-Ice North 108

Before buying new winter tires for my new car, I carefully read all the reviews, both from private owners and automotive magazines. I didn't consider old, well-tried models, as I wanted to try something fresher. I chose the Michelin X-ICE North. The first thing that surprised me was the huge imbalance of the tires: one tire required 70 grams of weights, while the other three needed around 20-35 grams... Although

Never regretted choosing this tire, 100% tread depth after 3 seasons with regular maintenance, very easy to handle compared to the summer Cam Evo, loves snow, has a +5 traction rating, feels confident on ice with snow, does great on dry pavement, the noise at first was a bit jarring, didn't live up to expectations on wet ice - not a pass.

On December 15, 2010, I came to buy winter tires with rims for my VAZ 21015 car on Stary Derevenko Street 33. I asked the seller which tires are the best and most reliable from the available ones. I received an answer that MICHELIN tires are low-noise and reliable. I thought for a long time, since these tires are not cheap. Finally, I decided to buy them and new Swiss rims. They balanced and installed them on

Hello! The treads on my tires are nearly worn out (as a matter of fact), with over 102,000 km on them, but I don't even consider replacing them - there's no cause for concern with the tires. I had Michelin North 3 on my Toyota RAV-4 - it's not a bad tire overall, but it produces about 5 times more noise.

Hello. I have two Fiat Ducato, one from 2008 and another from 2014. The 2008 one was equipped with TOYO H09 tyres, and I made a review. Michelin tyres were purchased in autumn 2015 for my new car, and my colleague decided to fit tyres with studs and chose Michelin. We drove with the cars 3-4 times a week, with a total of 530 km per round trip, with a load of 1

I liked the tires. Good job!
It all started when I got the car in the spring and it was already on summer tires. It handled perfectly on the thinnest ice and snowy slush. So, I was looking for good winter tires. I chose the studded Michelin X-Ice (mainly due to reviews and because it was almost a thousand cheaper than Nokian). I thought it would be much noisier, but driving on packed snow is very quiet

195/60 R15. Spent 6 winters in Nizhny Novgorod, a total of 50,000 km in the winter. Clearly, it's not a lot, but I never regretted it. A bit worn out, but still holding up great! Today, I cleared a snowdrift in my yard - what a success! Took off the snow chains - the whole front is covered in snow. No noise (no creaking from unnecessary studs), grips

I've been running these tires for 4 seasons now, with about 35-40k km on them. I'm hoping to make it to 5 seasons as well. I've lost about 15-20% of the tread. I'm thoroughly pleased with everything, the off-road capabilities are simply top-notch. After three seasons, I noticed a slight drop in braking performance on bare ice, but it's not a major issue. The tire does wander a bit on asphalt, but my

Served for 5 seasons. Lost no more than 10% of the tread in the first 3 seasons. Drove aggressively. The tire was forgiving. Held well on both snow and ice. After 4 seasons, the tread was worn down to half and started to wear out. Had to change driving style. On 5th year of use, the tread on one of the tires disintegrated. Tire is soft, but with a thick sidewall and doesn't float in corners
