  • about tyre Michelin Primacy HP

To date, Michelin Primacy HP is the benchmark.

WV PASSAT 1.8T 2002 215/55 R16 After analyzing information on the internet, I realized that when the main requirement for a tire is COMFORT, it's either Michelin Primacy HP or Goodyear Excellence. Not knowing what to choose, I decided to indulge myself and try both. First, I put on the Goodyear. Here's what they write about it

I drove on the tires in size 215/55/16 93V on a Ford Focus 2, with a 2.0L engine, and covered a total of 41,000 km. They wore out to the maximum allowed limit. I didn't continue to drive on them, as I replaced them. Therefore, I can say that the tires are quite good, of the comfort class. They perform well on dry asphalt, with excellent grip properties. On wet surfaces, I

Good tire. Durable - no bumps or bulges after hits. Quiet. Drawbacks: Above 160 km/h you start to feel a bit uneasy behind the wheel, the car begins to slightly rock from side to side - directional stability is not great.

    Frankly average tires

I randomly stumbled upon these tires at a low price in the size 225/50R17. Before that, I had Continental ContiPremiumContact-2 in the size 215/55R16. In principle, the Continental suited me in every way, but I had an idea to put 17" wheels. I installed them. The first impressions were excellent. Then I drove into the rain. Well, what can I say, compared to the Continental,

They were in a standard fitment of 215/55-16 from the boot.
I drove on them for 3 seasons and in general they still had a bit left, sold them along with the wheels to some Fordboys.
Can say that the tire suited me, for civilian driving on a family wagon - it's quite good.
The resistance to slip in turns is quite good, braking is also normal. I drove on it at -12, but on dry

    Subpar Tires
Braking and handling are fine, no whistle in turns,
    BUT
Half-life wear, all tires are destroyed by the rim
    Pulls to one side
Makes a terrible noise on bad asphalt. I even thought I had to replace all the hub bearings until I drove on freshly laid asphalt.
In general, it won't make it to the end of the wear bars.

The tire is only for European countries!
Weak sidewalls and unreal stiffness of the tread in combination with uneven road surfaces cause the tire to roll over and eventually fall off the track, either front or rear. Changing the pressure did not help (from 1.9 to 2.7 bar)
It wears out very quickly, one and a half seasons (about 30,000 km)

I bought a couple of days ago. Wanted to get Conti Premium Contact 5, but it was not in stock. This one was money down the drain. It rumbles like a tractor. It's really hard. The suspension started knocking. The interior trim started rattling.

One star means I haven't tried it in these conditions.

Pros - soft and quiet. But... After 130 it's scary to drive, uncomfortable all the time, the car doesn't hold the road. The problem is exactly with the tire, the previous summer was Continental Premium Contact 2, winter was Nokian. I drive in ORDER better, I will sell Michelin with a loss of money and look for Continental. If you don't drive over 100, take...

205.55.16.I bought tires thinking that the most hard one is Bridgestone and the softest one is Michelin. However, with phenomenal traction properties on dry and wet surfaces, the tire is incredibly stiff!!! Over a bad road, the interior of the salon began to resonate, small potholes come to the salon with a thud and a rumble. For me, the discomfort of this tire overshadows all its benefits.
