I replaced the studded tire with this French one for my Pajero.

It's soft, doesn't make any noise, and holds ice just as well as my old studded Nokia. I highly recommend it for winter. In Moscow and the surrounding area, it's pointless to drive on studded tires altogether. Several times I got into potholes with sharp edges - no problems. I accelerated up to 180 - no issues. Michelin as always on top, what was expected and what was received. It's amazing that in my tire size there are American production tires (at least on the sidewalls - made in USA). I bought them taking into account the supposed European trips and I never regretted not having studs (apparently the roads were not that slippery). As for the noise - quieter than the standard Dunlop Sport.

The quietest and most comfortable tires I've ever encountered!!! Even after winter, I didn't feel like switching to summer tires. Although I chose summer tires with the maximum comfort and quietness in mind. They grip the snow wonderfully and surprisingly well in deep mud.

The tires are good. The manufacturing quality is excellent. The noise during movement corresponds to the manufacturer's claims, quite quiet tires.

When the rubber was new, it handled snow like a tank, but as it wore out, the driving characteristics deteriorated, around 50,000 km. I've been using them for 4 seasons and think I can still drive on them for another season, but the tires are already asking to be replaced))), 90,000 km is the limit. The tread has lost its elasticity, probably because there's not much of it left).

On ice, the tires don't behave very well, but I expected that from a winter tire. On black ice in the city, I couldn't drive up onto the curb from a standstill, but since I have a 4x4 car, it's not a problem.

What I didn't like was that the tires handle aquaplaning poorly. At 80-100 km/h, when driving into a puddle, I had to catch the car. I'm not saying it's always like that, but often the car would lose stability.

On slush, the car holds up pretty well, but it's better not to relax, you need to drive carefully.

I would recommend these tires for use in regions where there is constantly snow or where there is little of it (e.g., southern regions). I do not recommend regions where there is often black ice on the roads (e.g., Volgograd or Saratov).

235/65R17 tires came used with the car, with 30-40% wear. I drove them for two winters and after the end of the second winter, they were still drivable, as the tread was only a little less than 4 mm. Worth the shins!!! Lighter than their counterparts by an average of 1 kg, comfort, handling, braking - all at the right level!!! But don't compare them with studded tires - they have different characteristics!!! These tires are more suitable for the southern regions of the country! I'm using them in the Krasnodar region!!! Very well-balanced tire. Mounts easily onto the rim and balances perfectly, (in comparison to the cooper tires), is quiet. Driven 1 season seamlessly, will now be driving the 2nd. Great tires, quiet, excellent grip in any weather conditions.
This is my first lug, I was hesitant as always I chose studs, but I was surprised, the grip is better than on studs. Previously I had 100 Gislaved, Toyo OB3, Hankook 7, Hankook 409, bfgoodrich g-force.
In my opinion, these Michlin are better.

Excellent winter tires, not noisy, give pleasure from driving on a snowy road, excellent on any asphalt, on ice a bit worse, but not critically.
