Correction: It was just a coincidence that when I installed my new X-Ice tires, my right rear wheel bearing needed to be replaced. I blamed the new tire for excessive internal noise. I had the bearing repaired and now I am happy to report that this tire is smooth and quiet (the noise has nothing to do with the tire). X-Ice is amazing... if only it were a bit more affordable. Yay!

I recently purchased a new set and was disappointed. The appearance and finishing are excellent, however, internal noise levels are LOUD & jarring (very noticeable even at low speeds). Nexen Winguards are much quieter. Do Michelin tyres have quieter tyres?
