Tires on Mercedes (Мерседес)

The Mercedes car brand belongs to the German company Mercedes-Benz AG, a structural division of the same-name concern. It specializes in the production of passenger cars of the "luxury" class, as well as compact commercial equipment. Since November 2019, trucks, buses, and special equipment have been under the management of Daimler Truck, which became an independent firm in 2021.

History of emergence

The company Mercedes-Benz owes its existence to Karl Benz, who created the world's first internal combustion engine, patented in January 1886. The debut appearance of the brand in the form of a car occurred in 1901, when its production was established by the company Daimler Motoren Gesellschaft. The trademark was registered in 1902 by the German entrepreneur Emil Jellinek-Mercedes, who chose the name in honor of his daughter Mercedes Jellinek. He was engaged in the sale of "horseless" carriages of the Daimler brand in the highest circles of society. Among his clients were the Rothschild family and other very wealthy people. In 1901, Mercedes cars appeared in the New World, where they were owned by billionaires such as Rockefeller, Astor, Morgan, and Taylor. The first use of the modern name of the brand, namely Mercedes-Benz, occurred in 1926 after the merger of the companies of Karl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler, which formed the firm Daimler-Benz on June 28 of the same year.

30s and 40s

Throughout the 1930s, Mercedes released the model 770, which was particularly popular, mainly in Germany. Most of them are now in private collections and occasionally appear at auctions. In 1937, the product line included trucks, primarily the LG3000, as well as aircraft engines DB600 and DB601, which were actively used in the military equipment of the Wehrmacht. By 1942, the company had almost ceased production of passenger cars, focusing entirely on the production of military products. The return to the production of civilian cars took place in the middle of 1946, when the W136 sedan appeared on the assembly line, which was developed back in the 1930s. And already in May 1949, it was significantly modernized. The changes affected, first of all, the engine, which became more powerful, and a diesel option appeared in the line of engines.

50s

By the beginning of the 1950s, Mercedes-Benz was in a not very good condition, having only "small-displacement" cars in its product line. Updating the model range required significant investments, primarily in production. The first changes occurred in 1951, when 6-cylinder engines with sufficient power appeared in the engine line. This made it possible to significantly expand the model range, which included sedans and convertibles of the 170th, 220th, and 300th series. The latter allowed the company to restore its reputation as a manufacturer of luxury cars. Some modifications were assembled manually, which significantly slowed down production, but at the same time allowed for virtually continuous modernization, for example, to start producing versions with automatic transmissions from Borg-Warner and engines with electrically controlled fuel injection systems. The 50s ended with the release of cars with "ponton" bodies, which became the "signature" style of the brand, preserved to this day. Considering the high technological level of the models offered by Mercedes-Benz, it is extremely important to carefully select tires for them. A wide range of such tires is presented in the online store "Mosavtoshina".
