    The Mercedes CLK-Class AMG was produced from 1997 to 2009 and went through two generations with the indices W208 and W209.     The transmission was a 5-speed "automatic" AMG SpeedShift with a reinforced hydrotorque converter and adaptive shift maps. The braking system included ventilated discs of increased diameter, multi-piston calipers and a force distribution system tied to ESP. The suspension received shortened shock absorbers and stiff springs, which made the reactions to the steering wheel noticeably more precise.

    The interior of the W208 from AMG was distinguished by sports seats, high-density leather, aluminum inserts, and a steering wheel with a reduced rim. The package was complemented by extended climate control, an improved audio system, memory for seat and mirror settings. Convertibles had a reinforced windshield frame and reinforced sills to increase stiffness during dynamic driving. Externally, the configurations were recognizable by the extended sills, aerodynamic pads and characteristic AMG pipes.

    The second generation of 2002 received an even more profound modernization, mainly due to a significant change in the power structure of the body and the use of a more powerful engine - the "atmospheric" V8 with a volume of 6.2 liters. The power unit had individual throttle valves for each cylinder and a gas distribution system designed for long-term operation at high speeds. The subframes were strengthened, the suspension was reconfigured for large lateral accelerations, and the brakes were equipped with multi-piston AMG calipers with increased heat dissipation. The "companion" of the engine was a 7-speed "automatic" SpeedShift with improved logic and fast transitions between gears. The steering had a reduced gear ratio, which made the car responsive even at small steering angles.

    In terms of equipment, the car stood out with the current version of the multimedia system, Harmon/Kardon acoustics, and ventilated seats. Like its predecessor, it was distinguishable from the standard versions by a more aggressive body kit on the outside.
