These tires have been a real discovery of the winter season! They have proven themselves well in the challenging weather conditions of our winter, providing confidence and safety on the roads.
    ▌ Advantages:
    - Safety: Excellent traction on ice and snow thanks to modern stud and lamella technology.
    - Handling: Great directional stability and maneuverability even on slippery surfaces.
    - Durability: The rubber compound withstands extremely low temperatures, the tread wears out practically not at all.
    - Comfort: Low noise level, comfortable absorption of road irregularities.
    - Reliability: Strong sidewalls withstand the loads of large SUVs.
    ▌ Disadvantages:
    - High price: The cost is significantly higher than that of mid-range analogs.
    - Somewhat prolonged braking on wet asphalt: They brake a little worse on wet asphalt than on dry surfaces.
The overall impression is excellent! I recommend these tires to those who value reliability and quality of winter tires, are willing to pay extra for increased safety and the pleasure of comfortable winter driving.

I'm comparing it to the Hakkapeliitta 8 (made in Finland), on which I've driven 5 seasons on a Nissan X-Trail in 32 body, with a mileage of 100,000.

After changing cars, the question of choosing winter tires arose, and it turned out that the choice is not that big. Manufacturers have left our market, abandoned factories, and there is no control. I didn't consider China because my wife is mainly driving this car. I didn't know how the combination of Chinese rubber and a moody blonde would behave on public roads, so I wanted to be sure about at least one component.

I chose size 235/50 R19. I opted for Michelin X-Ice-North-4-SUV. Why? Made in Poland, mid-2024, and at the time of purchase, it cost 26,000 for one tire.

I've driven on Michelin for half a season (today is 18.12.2024, and I installed the tires in October)

Handling on all surfaces, with adequate driving, is without complaints. If you exceed the speed limit when entering a turn, you can feel the car's insufficient steerability, but I don't rule out that this is a characteristic of the car. Braking is predictable.

I have nothing to say about aquaplaning and wet roads, as I haven't operated the car in such conditions yet. It's too early to evaluate wear resistance, as all the studs are still in place. In terms of comfort - when I first installed them, they were very noisy, but after running them in, they're much quieter, and you can hear the sound of the tire more than the studs.

You can disregard the stars I've given, as some positions weren't evaluated.

Excellent tires, currently for a lot of money.

I don't regret the purchase at all.

Before these tires, I had Michelin winter tires on sedans of a smaller size, but when I purchased a crossover, I decided to try the then newly released Nokian Tyres Hakkapeliitta 9 model. I drove on them for about 250,000 kilometers until not a single stud was left and the rubber was all cracked after 3 years. When buying new tires, I read various test drives and owner reviews and decided to purchase Michelin, and I bought them for both my new car with R 19 wheels and my old car with the previous body style. However, since the prices at the moment were not reasonable, I had to buy R17-sized tires. In the end, I broke them in at a positive temperature, as the specialists advise, with a low speed of about 1000 km. Then, a dirty autumn arrived with temperatures from +2 to -28, and disappointment in this tire came immediately. If on icy asphalt, braking is more or less predictable, and side skidding on a tight turn with a new tire, then on slightly dusty asphalt or rolled snow cover, the tire very much disappointed me, constantly triggering the stability control and ABS. The Nokian Tyres Hakkapeliitta 9 never allowed itself to do this, biting into the road surface firmly. Throughout the entire period of use, the stability control and ABS only worked maybe twice, and even then not immediately, and at a speed of about 130 km on a winter rolled road. And Michelin constantly keeps me on my toes, not allowing me to relax too much, and this is on different cars. The tire is not bad, but too much hype has been created around it, and accordingly, the price is high.

I didn't expect such a low noise level from studded tires, it's minimal, considering it hasn't been run-in yet! I had Hakkas and Bridgestones before... much less noisy compared to Hakkas! Handling is great! The tire is super, I'm happy with the purchase! I'll ride out the season and add more info if I don't forget :)

Until XIN4 I used Conti Ice Contact 2 and Nokian Hakka 7 on other cars. The loudest is the Hakka, XIN4 is a bit noisy immediately after the tire change on asphalt, but after that I don't really notice it. Used from mid-October to mid-April, went over 7000 km, felt like new. No questions and critical situations on the road due to tires did not occur. When choosing I relied on the ratings

This tire has been performing well for two years now, but this winter it had some issues, particularly when crossing a coarse road divider at high speed, especially when overtaking. However, I imagine this might be a problem with any tire. I've driven on older winter tires before, but I don't remember how it was. The tire has a lot of small studs, which grip well on ice, and I haven't noticed any of them breaking off. The only downside is the high price.

Initially, I bought these tires for my 9 Lancer. I went on a trip and was really pleased with them. Then I swapped them onto my Touareg. The tires are really great. They grip the road perfectly. In the snow, they performed well too. Moderately soft. Overall, I would recommend them.

Good tire, in -25 the tire is deformed by finger, i.e. does not freeze in the cold, indeed adequately soft! It holds the road well, I tested it not once!

Great tire. Drove through places where others got stuck. Don't know about durability yet, hopefully it's better than the previous one.
