I bought the tyres along with the car and the wear is extremely low. I was happy with them until the snow came, and since they are winter tyres, I have to admit that they've never given me such a hard time on turns before. The rear wheels are constantly losing traction, not necessarily on ice. In short, I've decided to change them and I'm writing this review to recommend Gislaved Nord Frost 5 tyres - my wife has them on her Sonata and they're a

Just installed and read the reviews and my friends say they are good, but... On noise - AWFUL. It feels like you're in a metro carriage. As long as it's dry and snow-free, let's wait and see what happens next. Since purchasing the Octavia, I've been driving on the original Czech Matador MP-51 Sibir 2s. They were unbeatable. They can drive anywhere - no snowbank is an obstacle, and on the winter dacha

Tire AWFUL. After a month of normal driving, 50% of the tread on the leading axle was worn out. On the snow, it's just okay, the car is being pulled from side to side. On the ice, I did not experience any particular excitement. At one time, I had a UG 500, it lasted for 3 seasons, by which time I had lost 10% of the tread, and its behavior on snow and ice was many times

My Lada IZh-Fabula (rear wheel drive). It is not listed.

Before last winter (2010/2011) I decided to replace my worn-out 4 seasons Amtel tires.

My driving style is sporting. Even when driving on an empty road, I constantly practice skidding around a turn, regardless of whether there is ice on the asphalt or not.

My overall impression is positive, but as much tread has worn off on the tires in one winter as

A pretty average tire, suitable for various winter conditions, assuming the driver is also average.
Straight-line braking is respectable, be more cautious on ice. No fear of snow, traction is fairly good, but handling on snow leaves room for improvement. It gets along with asphalt on its 3.5 stars, both wet and dry.
Durability is good, after 3 seasons in the far north it only lost a couple of studs.
    In general, it would be

I bought tire in 2008. In the first season, 6 studs blew out, and the same happened in the second season. In the end, within 3 seasons, an uncountable number of studs remained in the tire, unlike other manufacturers, who after 3 seasons, the tire dies. When I bought it, the salesperson recommended polishing the studs, that is, driving less than 70 km/h for about 500 km. Yeah, I did it and on the

Tires are not bad, but the tread... the tread is peeling off like rats on a sinking ship, 40% of the tread came off in the first season, 40-50% in the second, and after the third season, there were only a couple of tread blocks left on each tire, even on the rears.

I took 205/65/15 in 2007, 50% of the tread wore off in the first season, the rest in the second. It doesn't brake on a slippery, icy road, it's not great in corners, average in the snow, it's okay in potholes. It performs well on mud and dry asphalt. Wear on the tread after 4 seasons is 20%. Conclusion: a terrible studded summer tire, not worth buying, I managed to

Spent the winter without a single complaint, sometimes even forgetting that I was driving on studded tires, the soft and pleasant tread provided predictable handling and braking in all turns. And I only lost one stud in total on all four wheels.

Went through the 2010-2011 season, in total lost 5 studs on all 4 wheels and drove 35,000 km without any issues. Didn't get stuck once during the winter, despite living in the Leningrad region where roads are not well maintained. In general, didn't experience any problems while driving in the snow, on ice, or on asphalt. Of course, this is if you don't consider yourself a rally driver and just drive without unnecessary risks.
