The tires were given to me by my brother, knowing that winter was approaching, and after buying the car, there was no money left for tires. I trust his choice, as he has twice the driving experience I do. They showed themselves well in the city and suburbs during winter - the car is quite predictable, good maneuverability, relatively quiet and soft, and they've come to my aid on several occasions when I had to make a sudden stop.

I ran them for two seasons on the second generation Golf, and now I'm on the third. I think I bought them quite cheap, but they didn't last long. For the city these are the best – to work, from work, on the weekends to the shop, always sure grip. They still grip well even after it has frozen, and they are also very comfortable to drive on, they soak up bumps nicely.

I would highly recommend the Goodyear UltraGrip ICE + tyres. A friend, who uses them, advised me to buy them, and I was pleasantly surprised by the results. The car now handles confidently on snow, ice, wet pavement, and even moderate puddles. In comparison to my previous brand, the UltraGrip ICE + tyres provide a much better grip on the road.

I've already written a review - I couldn't think of anything to add. I ran them through the 2015-2016 winter. The tires are 205/55 R16. And what's interesting, the front tires were 2 Ice+, and the rears were 2 Ice2. They are almost identical - the pattern of the tread is slightly different, but the characteristics are the same. Good, worthy tires. Huge experience of operation in different regions. From Irkutsk Oblast to Perm Krai. I've been riding on them for the third season now.

They simply excel on roads with clean asphalt, and on packed but not compacted snow. Quiet, soft even in -38 degrees Celsius. They cope fairly well with a loose slush of snow, dirt and chemicals. However, miracles do not happen, and this tire has its own drawbacks in this segment

Excellent tyre, very comfortable and easy to handle in all weather conditions. No excessive oversteer or slip in snow, a very sporty M+ S tyre. More pleasure than any other winter tyres I've ever used - very grippy. Braking is very good in the snow - but not outstanding. Great in wet or soft conditions. Much, much better than my previous Michelin Alpin A2s.

After the fifth season of using these tires, I decided to write a review.

I've been driving on friction tires for a long time and have something to compare them to. I've had both domestic and Japanese tires before, but these ones appealed to me the most.

The tires perform very well on packed snow and asphalt, confidently and predictably. In snowy slush, they grip well, as long as you don't get stuck and start digging in, then only a shovel or rope can help. On icy ruts or bare ice, you can feel the tires starting to lose contact, the main thing is not to make sharp movements and calmly predictively reduce speed, or drive "in a stretch". The tires are very soft and quiet, on the highway, it's very comfortable, despite the fact that the car has very weak factory sound insulation. At temperatures above 5 degrees, the tires start to "float" on asphalt, and with increasing minus, on the contrary, they become very grippy and collected. On dry asphalt, I accelerated to 170 km/h, everything was as expected without any nuances.

During the operation, there was one strong side impact, the disk was bent and a piece of tire was torn off. The disk was straightened, the tire was not repaired, since the sidewall is reinforced, it does not spill and no bulges appeared.

Since I have tires from 2018 and the mileage on them is already considerable, microcracks start to appear and wear is approaching replacement, but it should be enough for another season or two.

It's a pity that these tires can no longer be bought new. I would have gladly purchased another set and continued driving, but apparently, I will have to switch to domestically produced tires and look for an alternative to these.

There's no point in recommending them, as you can't find new ones, but during the operation, they have proven themselves to be only on the positive side.

P.S. No matter what tires you drive on, studded or friction, always approach trips "with your head" and then there will be a minimum of surprises on the roads for you and your loved ones.

A pretty decent tire, meets expectations. On par with Korean budget brands, it handles well on ice and snow.

I spent a long time choosing this brand for urban driving. During the use, I realized that I made the right choice. I have used them for three winters and I didn't notice any noticeable wear. They hold great on snow, water and slush, and they do a good job on ice. The acoustic noise from the tires is minimal. After Nokian, Bridgestone, Michelin, Pirelli and a few domestic brands, these tires are the best option for me.

I used to be a studding only tyre man, but changed my mind after driving a friend's car on Ice +. I naturally wore mine out, not throwing money out the window, but then bought a newer Ice 2 model. Comfort wise, the difference from studs is the lack of noise, and in every other way it holds its own, and on dry and wet tarmac is even better than studs. Excellent tyres.
