Tyre reviews Goodyear OptiGrip 741

Despite the criticism, I ended up buying this tire! (215x55 R16 93V Germany). I'm extremely pleased with the tire! It handles like a champ in both dry and wet conditions, a clear 5+! As for noise, I don't think it makes any noise at all (I drive with the windows closed), whether I'm cruising at 60 or 160 km/h with the radio off, there's no loud hum or unpleasant noise in the cabin, the

I've driven on OptiGrip for about 40,000 km over 3 seasons. The tire size is 205/60/R16. I've covered about 4,000 km in Russia, with 2,000 km on dry roads and 2,000 km in the rain. I mostly drive on Ukrainian roads (mainly in Kiev). My driving style is extreme.
About the tyre:
In terms of handling on wet/dry roads - it's almost perfect.

Fitted to Citroen C4 Picasso, 215/55 r16. Handling is good, quite soft. Good on wet roads. But, unfortunately, it whines so miserably! After 500-600 km on a smooth highway, it whines in your head. I've been driving it for the second season, and I'm thinking of changing it – I have to drive a lot in cities, so I won't make it through the summer. I previously drove on Dun

Tires handle both dry and wet roads superbly, never experiencing aquaplaning with them. I drove at 210 km/h and entered high-speed corners - all was fine, nothing gave way. But, like all sports tires, they're stiff, which must be the case. Even when very worn ( almost bald) they still have good grip with the road (sounds strange, but that was their proclaimed advantage, and they didn't disappoint). The only minus - noisy; initially tolerable

Great tyre for all surfaces, except ice.
Grips like a tank on mud (rarely got stuck), braking on asphalt - 5 stars.
Very satisfied!
And, by the way, it's also quiet. Among all my previous tyres, it's the quietest one.
Among the minuses: actually, I think it's too heavy for the car.- Vehicle:

A good all-season tyre. Li handles well on a wet road and the difference in grip and feel between dry and wet roads is quite small, which is a good thing as you always know what to expect. Better than I expected in the snow in the UK at the start of 2011. Not a proper winter tyre, but it got me home where Goodyear F1 tyres failed to.

Size 205/55 R16 made in Germany.
My experience is limited, and I can only compare it with the Dunlop DZ-101.
The tire is not high-speed, and turning at intersections at speeds above 80 km/h may lead to a blowout, but in wet conditions, I can safely turn at 70 km/h without any issues. It cuts through water well, which has collected in the wheel wells - it's nice when, in the rain

The tires are 205/55/R16. I've driven about 5,000 km, and on a wet road, they're simply perfect, the car responds to all commands 100%. In my opinion, they're a bit noisy, may seem stiff. But considering the non-full profile and the condition of our roads, this is quite normal. At high speed, the car doesn't sway, it holds the road well.

I thought they would wear very quickly, as it's already down to 3 mm on the left side of the tread and has covered almost 7000 miles on them, the other one is still at 5 mm, all 4 were changed at the same time. Must say, amazing grip, confident in the car whether wet or dry, however the brief snow we had it was extremely difficult to handle, the car became unmanageable over 5 mph on a road with untouched snow,

I often have problems with humming on the rear axle. In these tires, this is at least not the case so far. But I can't say that with certainty yet. The mileage is not sufficient. PS: To be asked for summer tires after grip on snow is either a joke or an error in the database: D
