Tyre reviews Goodyear Eagle Sport SUV TZ 50

The Goodyear Eagle Sport TZ SUV 225/60/R17 is a good tire at an affordable price, plus free tire mounting from Goodyear, plus an extended warranty from Goodyear, plus a 3000 ruble cashback to a virtual Visa card.
I will compare it to the Conti PremiumContact 5, as I took it as a replacement for this tire:
- The Goodyear Eagle Sport is a good tire, it doesn't lose traction at high speeds even in heavy rain, I deliberately drove into all the puddles;
- braking, both on dry and wet asphalt, is very decent;
- in terms of noise level, Goodyear loses to Continental, with a declared noise level of 72dB vs 71dB. I note that Decibels are a relative unit and a difference of 1dB is very noticeable;
- the sidewall of the Continental is slightly stiffer to the touch than the Goodyear, although the load index is the opposite: Goodyear - 103, Continental - 99;
- the treadwear index of the Goodyear is 300, I couldn't find it for the Conti, but my tires wore out to the limiters in about 50,000 km;
- both tires are quite grippy, but the Goodyear handles turns better;
- Goodyear has rim protection against damage (an additional rim around the disc).

When buying, I focused on tires with good sidewalls as the roads in Buryatia are not very good and often have to drive on a dirt road! The tire arrived quickly and there were no problems with balancing during installation! It is much quieter than the Bridgestone Dueller Sport tires that were previously installed! I'm pleased with the purchase! Thank you to the store, they worked very quickly!

I was looking for tires in the size 235/50/18. The choice fell on Goodyear Eagle Sport SUV TZ, made in Poland. The sidewall is strong and well-balanced. The tread depth is 8.6 mm. There is good edge protection. There is no noise and roar from the tire at high speed, and its stability on a dry and wet asphalt is excellent. I haven’t tried it on off-road yet.

Surprisingly, the tires turned out to be very decent, they ran in and after 500 km became even quieter. The average operating speed is 60-120 km/h, but occasionally I drove long distances at speeds over 180 km/h. The tires have proven to be manageable and predictable. In rain and heavy rain at speeds of 110-120, you don't notice the water, when entering puddles, the car doesn't throw or pull off the trajectory. On dirt, it gets dirty, like any highway tire, while the tire is new and there is dirt with puddles, it gets washed and you can drive more or less. I didn't drive on snow.

I bought this tire and have not yet tried it out, but I can already highlight a couple of features that caught my attention:
1. Tread depth of about 8 mm
2. A protective ridge on the inner side of the tire (for the wheel).
I'm setting the ratings in advance.
Please note that Threadware over 500 was available only on the first batches of the tire, and now it's in the 300

VERY quiet and comfort, so I chose. I confirm 5 out of 5! Aquaplaning and extreme braking have not yet occurred for me, so 4. Price/quality, wear will show themselves later. In principle, not that expensive. Snow/ice not for summer tires.

Excellent tires. They hold the road well, the behavior on dry and wet asphalt is predictable. The only thing is that the tire fitters said that a lot of weight had to be added for the given diameter. Overall, I'm very pleased with the purchase.

Worth the tire, picked up in the 18-inch range. Noise levels are relatively low and they handle well on the road, with good side-walls protection. I haven't found any downsides yet. I would recommend them.

Tires are new, behave perfectly, though I haven't driven on them off the asphalt yet. Otherwise, they deserve a positive review. Behavior is very stable and predictable in both dry and rainy weather. Quiet, soft, and quite comfortable, including on rough asphalt. Steering stability is good.

Excellent and democratic tires. Good response to the steering wheel and generally comfortable handling, and in the rain, it behaves almost perfectly - no aquaplaning
