I chose between Nokian Hakkapeliitta and MICHELIN X-ICE NORTH 4. Before that, I had Nokian Hakkapeliitta 7 on my vehicle. Given the significant price difference between MICHELIN X-ICE NORTH 4 and Nokian Hakkapeliitta 9, I opted for the MICHELIN. I was not disappointed. After "wearing in" the studs, I can hear them, but no howl.

Hello!
I will write briefly. I bought these tires impulsively after seeing an ad. I checked the characteristics and was pleasantly surprised. Given the lack of snow and mild winter, it's difficult to form an opinion about using these winter tires on ice and snow. However, after driving 6000 km on asphalt, I can say that the tires are of good quality. I didn't lose a single stud. I drove from Murmansk to Minsk and back. On any asphalt

Before that I've been driving with Nokian Hakkapeliitta 8's for 4 years. The MICHELIN X-ICE NORTH 4 is much quieter compared to the Hakkapeliitta 8, you can hear the studs, but there's no humming, at all. It holds the ice very confidently, ESP is extremely rarely engaged, Nokian's did worse. According to the last tests on the MICHELIN's testing ground in St. Petersburg, the X

Size 245/40 R19. Operation in the far north areas.
The choice of these tires was made based on the results of viewing various tests made around the world.
For me, first and foremost, handling and traction are important. These tires are one of the best, if not the best, in these aspects. And that's all that needs to be said.
As for comfort, everything is subjective. Standard studding noise on asphalt, nothing unusual for any studded tires. This moment can be slightly improved by gluing wheel arch soundproofing. The only drawback I didn't notice before is that at a certain roughness of dry asphalt and a certain speed range, a hum of the tire appears. In general, it's not critical for me. This drawback may not be present on a different size. If you're a delicate person and your car has poor soundproofing, studded tires are not for you.
With sufficiently loaded use, the studs are in place, but the initial run-in was done.

Good day everyone. I was looking for a set of tires for my Camry for 4 seasons. There were no problems at all. For the first two years, it felt like the stability control system didn't even kick in during winter. The tires were very good. As they wore out, I wouldn't say they got much worse. Before the 4th season, I checked the tires for stud loss - literally just a few studs were missing from one wheel. By the end of the 4th winter, the rear tires started to lose air due to the studs (one tire needed to be inflated every two weeks, the other one every day). I don't know why it happened to the rear tires - the car is front-wheel drive and I don't carry heavy loads. I installed an inner tube in one tire and took a look at the tire's condition: it turned out that all the studs in the center were gone, while the ones on the edges were still in place but were moving inside the tire when I pulled on them with my fingers. I took a closer look at the other tires and found the same situation. The tires won't last for the 5th season. I bought the set for 25,000 rubles in May 2020. Now the set costs 60,000 rubles. If I can afford it, I'll definitely buy them again - the tires are amazing.

Back in 2019, I purchased a set of tires, and I never have any doubts about buying from this manufacturer if my budget allows it.
This studded winter tire has everything it needs, nothing extra. The studs, after the fifth season, are still almost all in place, handling on ice and snowy slush is a 5+, yes, it's noisy, and on wet asphalt, you can't drive dynamically, but it performs its functions, I never got stuck and didn't experience any problems. It saved me several times in a hopeless situation, which I'm sure of. The only thing that deters me is the price and availability in the assortment, but that's everyone's decision. I recommend

This is far from my first set of new tires, I have something to compare them to. I put these tires on a Tiguan from 2020, with a mileage of 4,000 kilometers, both in the city and on the highway. In wet weather or when the road is slippery, they perform excellently, hydroplaning is only noticeable in deep puddles. And on ice, it's like driving on rails when the road is completely frozen. Overall, I'm left with a very positive impression. But there is one thing that comes to mind, it was about 7 years ago. Exactly the same wheels were installed on a rear-wheel drive Mercedes, and the studs on the driving axle didn't even last one season. Probably, they skidded a lot back then.

Excellent tires. So far, I've driven on them for 4 seasons. The loss of studs so far is 3 pieces on 4 wheels. For the first two seasons, the rubber was practically noiseless on dry asphalt. Now it's a bit noisier.

I bought them in January 2022. The mileage on them by the end of March is 3000 km. It's too early to talk about the characteristics of operation - the mileage is too small. But the impressions are good, positive so far. With Michelin, previously of other sizes and seasons on Subaru Impreza, Citroen DS4, there were no problems - they lasted long, the ride was comfortable and they left the car with the new buyer without any complaints or claims. The quality is consistently high for this brand.

Excellent tires! Minimum noise, excellent road holding, good braking on any surface. Slush, mud, ice, dirt, clean asphalt - everywhere 5. Since winter was very snowy, they helped to get out of snowdrifts several times. After the season, all the studs are in place
