Tyre reviews Michelin X-Ice North 3. Page 3 379

Pros: very quiet, probably due to the reduced number of studs, comfortable;
Cons: not for active driving, mileage on the tires 2500 km per canister is already no 3-4 studs, and they don't fall off, but break and leave shanks.

Thought the Michelin flagship would be a good product, but unfortunately, the broken, shot out and worn studs under non-aggressive use ruined all the opinion about the tires. They don't suit a city with asphalt and ice, only snow. Smart stud - marketing. When the tires are cold, the stud sits tightly. However, if you drive 8-10 km at -15°C on asphalt, the stud will already sit loosely and easily pops out of its seat. Took Goodyear

Bought in November, 2015. Used mostly on highways, with a decent mileage and in various weather conditions. Holds the road well, but wears out very quickly and only a little tread remains. Mileage is approximately 13,000 km. Used to be on Bridgestone and Goodyear, will probably switch back to one of the previous models. Overall, it's okay.

I bought winter tires for my new Activa. Installed the tires on the original stamped steel rims. During driving, there is vibration. Went to another tire shop in Novyj. They balanced the tires according to NOAOY. The vibration didn’t disappear. It vibrates especially at 120 km/h. Also, within the first 2 months of driving, 50% of the studs fell off. I didn’t expect such a reaction from this tire brand. Before that, I drove

Got fooled by another ad gimmick. Size 215/55/17. Very disappointed with the purchase, especially considering the price. The only good things I can say is that the tires provide good traction on ice and packed snow, but you have to consider that my Mazda 6 has a much larger wheelbase, an AWD system, and a very smooth driving style. On bare asphalt, they're just terrible, on my old Prius with Continental tires the difference is almost negligible at

I don't hear any noise, the car is well-insulated all around. The tires, which were left by the previous car owner, are slightly worn down. The wear seems to be holding up well. The directional stability is excellent, it handles lane changes well. However, possibly due to the slight wear, I won't make any claims, it can be difficult to stop on ice. The car won't budge on packed snow. As is typical with Michelin, the sidewall is a bit weak and there's no rim protection.

Excellent tires. Hold the road well, drive great on snow, including deep, and do not be afraid to drive into a mixture of snow and water.

Excellent tyres in virtually all aspects, especially on ice handling. Steerability at high speeds is at the top. Wear at 30,000 km is minimal. Highly recommended!

Tires were shipped promptly, received in 4 days. Quality is beyond complaint; the only remark is that they were produced in 2018, but that's not a major concern - after all, it's not summer.

Excellent tyres, especially in terms of noise, I would say the best I have had. The Michelin summer tyres on my van went for four seasons, so long they weren't outdone by any other tyres. Annual mileage is the same every year.
