Tyre reviews Continental ContiSportContact 2 1504

Road tyres. The better the road, the more fun you get out of driving. Whether it’s dry or wet, it doesn’t matter. Everyone says tyres wear out fast, probably because they haven’t taken into account the load index or speed index. Mine are 215/45 R17 91V. After 30,000 km (half of the total mileage), they look like they’ve been used for about 15,000. Aggressive driving. Road tyres don’t like uneven

It holds well, but the sidewall is too soft
It was on the Focus when I bought it. I wanted to change it immediately, but then I saw that people put these on Porsches and drive around, and I decided to give it a try. I drove it for 2 seasons. It's very interesting to look at the parameter tables for this tire in different sizes. Everywhere, the tread depth is the same, everywhere the weight is approximately the same (differences of

Original tire for Ford Focus (European model). As soon as I left the showroom, the first impression was that the tire is very noisy, although judging by the tread pattern, it should not be so.
On a fresh, smooth asphalt, the tire is practically silent, while on a coarse asphalt, it produces a characteristic, annoying hum (although, maybe the weak soundproofing of the Focus is to blame).
Lasted for 3 seasons (60,000 km

Tires are 215/45 R17 in size. They were purchased along with the wheels as the original wheels had a 16-inch diameter. As the tires are not used during the winter, I do not have any comments on their performance on snow and ice. I live practically on the Black Sea coast and the main drive is along the triangle of Sochi-Krasnodar-Anapa. The tire is very reliable, and the excellent grip on the serpentine road, both on dry

205/55/16 Load index 94 and 91 Speed index V = up to 240.
I ran them on a brand new Ford Focus 2 with a load index of 94. Too stiff for our bad roads, every pothole and joint sends you biting, although, it writes in steep corners on an excellent grade! Strong wear! Maximum two seasons and they get to nothing. They are very loud, the price for the composition and the coupling. Sides are

I've driven a whole season aggressively, with a 40% city and 60% highway split. I want to note first that the handling on dry roads is exceptional: during sharp maneuvers, it holds at +5, and in turns, it's +5: on any other tire, I wouldn't dare to try something like that... However, it seems to me that it doesn't like to float very much, although on a wet road I feel confident. As for the minuses:

Good tire, sticks to the asphalt like glue, but gives up as it wears out - now with a remaining tread depth of 2.5-3 mm ABS activates much more often, and this spring three out of four wheels developed lateral cracks. Maybe it's the spring military roads, maybe it's the wear, or maybe it's me (I did have a sin - dived), but for the first three years there were no cracks. Wear resistance is average.
Good tires overall, but

I would like to point out that this is a summer tire. I bought the car with this manufacturer's budget tires and had to replace them very quickly with ContiSportContact. A completely different (and better) result.

I used these tyres in size 205 55 R16 and they handled both dry and wet roads perfectly well, with a new tread on the highway and in turns, they ran like rails. I replaced them with the same ones after a mileage of 50,000 km, the wear to the indicators is significant, and the road grip has worsened, especially in the rain. The wear on the front tyres' tread is naturally a bit more. No cracks were found. The only downsides

I managed to drive it a bit, size 245/35/17. It’s worth noting an excellent aquaplaning resistance - on speeds of 80-90, passing one side over a large puddle is not felt at all. It holds both wet and dry roads well. A bit noisy, but likely due to the width and low profile - the air volume is small, and the contact area is large. It’s difficult to say about wear, but probably due to the Y
