Tyre reviews Continental ContiIceContact 2. Page 3 945

Takes to ice racing pretty well. A bit worse than the ContiIceContact BD, side grip not as good, but with studs this is probably the best for that purpose. Overall, I would recommend - really reliable tires.

I've been using these tires for seven years. During this time, I haven't lost a single stud. I'll note right away that I haven't spared the tires at all. There have been wheel spins and driving on bad roads. And the studs are all still in place. I'm extremely pleased with the tires. They've never let me down. In seven years, I haven't had a single skid or loss of control. On snow, on ice, on asphalt, in snowy slush - they've always helped me out. I've driven at speeds of 130-140 km/h on highways in both frost and slush. Not a single skid, slip, or anything else has ever happened. They're very quiet. On bare asphalt, the noise from the studs was a bit louder, but not critically so. After seven years, the rubber has started to lose its elasticity and softness. I'll probably still use them for this season, but I'll need to look for new ones for the next season. It's a pity. I've looked and seen that Gislaved has similar tires - the same tread pattern, the same studs, but they don't have my size. I have 14-inch wheels, and Gislaved's tires start at 15 inches. I would buy the same tires again without hesitation.

I bought studded tires for the first time, before that I only drove in winter on friction tires. When choosing, I was confused by reviews that the tires are noisy. I didn't notice that, yes, they are noisier than summer tires, but if in the summer the speed on the highway is 140-160, in the winter I don't accelerate more than 120-130. At such speeds, the noise is quite acceptable. On asphalt, it brakes worse than friction tires, but on ice and snow it brakes and handles much better. Turns at an angle of 90 degrees, the car enters incomparably better (this was one of the drawbacks of friction tires). As for wear resistance, I can't say anything yet. I've only driven 1500 km, and the studs are still in place.

Five seasons on this tire. These are the best winter studded tires I've ever driven on. Snow, ice, slush, rain, puddles - equally stable behavior. Moreover, this is the quietest studded tire I've ever driven on. The behavior is beyond praise. I put the same ones on my wife's car. Unfortunately, this model has been discontinued. The third generation of tires has been released to replace it. Everyone writes that it's worse than the second one. I haven't tried it.

Hello, I'm having tires for the 3rd winter season. Made in Germany. Honestly, I wanted to sell them after the second season due to the large number of sidewall bulges on the wheels (5 in total), and this problem is related to the fact that on a 45-profile tire, you need to constantly check the air pressure and it should not be lower than 2.4 bar, otherwise, the first pothole will puncture the tire to a bulge, and then you drive and repair it for 2-3 thousand. And in winter, as you know, the temperature drops, the pressure drops...
Further, on ice, I wouldn't say it's ideal, the car skids, if you play with the steering wheel a bit, you immediately feel it start to skid, even when changing lanes, you feel the ice. I watch how the "pros" drive nearby, I'm amazed. They speed and don't fear. So I think, either my tires are bad or they're driving on ice skates. But the plus is that after 2 seasons, 97% of the studs are in place, although I drive both on highways and in the city with occasional wheel spin (not often and not for long). The tire is really soft, that's why there are bulges, but it's quiet on asphalt and has better traction than hard tires. My rating is 3.5-4, it's not bad, but the price bites. For such a set/price, I want to get maximum protection, so I can drive and think: "Wow, this is what I understand. This is worth it". I didn't experience such feelings with these tires.

He bought his dad a Chevrolet Aveo t300 1.6 115 HP. He lives outside the city, 7 km to the highway on snow in the winter. After worn-out and old M+S Michelin tires, these tires, according to his feedback, are simply a fairy tale! By noise level, they are also normal, not much different from M+S. They brake on ice like they are stuck in place. At his local tire shop, they said that the tires are

I bought them on Moscow's Avtozakaz. These are my second ContiIceContact 2, and I'm not sure what's going on, but these tires are absolutely not comfortable. I get the excessive noise from the tread, but when there's a terrible vibration, that's not normal for me. I wrote to the warranty department, but got no response. I feel like I'm not in the car, but in a helicopter. This set of tires has nothing in common

3 years away from Konti1, I bought the "second" one. Very satisfied with the first one. After 7 years of use, the Haki tire is quieter, handling is better by a head, there is no typical "haki" small lateral skidding in turns, the car holds the track clearly, no need to oversteer. Metal studs for 2 years almost without loss, at 3 years, however, they started to fall off (but this is purely

205/55R16, on a TOYOTA CALDINA GTT 4wd turbo. Used for ice racing. Grip compared to the first set of tires in -15 -40 is better by -40, 0-10 is worse, due to the first set having more aggressive tread. For the best performance, driving style should be smooth like on a slick surface. For driving on asphalt, noise and other issues, see below.

Excellent, quiet (!), studded tyre.
We frequently drive to Finland so we need studs, but previously the noise of the tyres really annoyed me. With this tyre, there's no such problem in principle.
Sound-wise, the sensations are the same as from a summer tyre.- Vehicle:
