I bought the Dunlop GrandTrek Ice03 tires new back in 2019 and successfully drove on them for 4 winter seasons, I'm 100% satisfied with them. Rating 5 out of 5! I thought, well, 4 seasons have passed, and although they still looked great and 80-90% of the studs were still in place, I thought maybe they had worn out a bit over 4 winters, so I'd replace them with new ones and sell the Dunlops while they're still good.

I bought new Nokian Nordman 7 SUV tires and was thoroughly disappointed with the Nordman 7. The traction on loose snow is simply terrible compared to the Dunlops. Of course, the car also makes a difference, I have a rear-wheel drive heavy minivan with a heavy front and light rear, the Nordman 7 tread pattern doesn't provide such good traction on deep snow as the tractor-like tread of the Dunlops.

In the end, I went back to the Dunlop GrandTrek Ice03 - and in my opinion, they're simply excellent tires, at least for my Hyundai Starex. It's just a pity that you can't find them new anymore, or you can, but only at exorbitant prices. The era of branded tires at affordable prices is over.
