Ford Endeavour – a variant of the Ford Everest model intended for implementation in India. The car was introduced in 2003 and, having undergone 2 modifications and several restylings, remains relevant today.

Beginnings

Based on the Ford Ranger platform (up to 60% of components were taken from the "donor"), the first generation had a frame structure, which implied the possibility of operation on light off-road. At the same time, the model was equipped with a front independent and rear spring suspension. The latter had an optimization for more comfortable use in urban conditions. The model was equipped with a 2.5-liter diesel engine, which produced 108 hp at its peak. In combination with four-wheel drive, the vehicle demonstrated excellent off-road properties.

In 2007, during a restyling, the model received an update of the interior and exterior, as well as a new power unit with a power of 141 hp and 330 Nm. In combination with the updated suspension, this had a positive effect on the car's dynamic characteristics.

Another restyling was carried out in 2011. The model began to be equipped with a new 3-liter diesel engine with a power of 151 hp. The exterior featured a new bumper, a chrome-plated radiator grille. The interior received new equipment in the form of a touch-sensitive multimedia screen with wireless mobile device connectivity, a rear-view camera, and a number of "assistants". A version with an automatic transmission was also introduced.

Modern Era

The new generation, which appeared in 2016, is based on the Ford Ranger T6. The car received a completely updated exterior, in which rectangular shapes prevail. Initially, 2.2 and 3.2 liter engines were installed on it. But after the update in 2018, the latter were replaced with a more environmentally friendly and economical 2.0 option with 167 hp, supplemented with a turbine. It is combined with a 10-speed "automatic". The ground clearance was increased to 225 mm, which improved its off-road properties. Among other innovations - an emergency braking system, a new multimedia system with a larger touch screen, higher-quality materials for interior trim.
